Yep, you should see me when I've had a few drinks. Logic defies me, and I always feel as though any relation between current events and history is a meticulously planned and terribly witty attempt by whomever was in control of that bit of policy/decision making. My first job was at a golf course cutting lawns. Great pay (usually $2-3 above minimum), and they're always looking for people. If you golf you get the added bonus of free rounds whenever you want.ebug9 wrote:

Besides that I would suggest city jobs with park maintenance and the like, again for the amazing pay and benefits. Last choice for me would be warehouses (you can tell I like outdoors work) doing inventory or just doing shipping/receiving.
Apply within the next couple of days, the university kids are already out looking for work and you need to be on the wagon even if you don't get out until June.

Ted, I'll be sure and send a message as soon as I'm coming. I've got a few friends from the UK who are dying to take me over there and show me around one of these summers, sadly I've got to do a little bit more working before I can blow the 5k it'll take while not taking loans for school.

EDIT- ebug, It doesn't hurt to try. I'm willing to bet they haven't, only because camping season is barely started and the high volume doesn't come until around June. Up in Ottawa I've heard the best jobs are at the embassies for students doing yard work and other small maintenance tasks. The government is always looking to hire students to help them out, one of the great things about it.

The beds are free in London if I stay with friends, so it won't be terrible. I'm likely going to be doing quite a bit of traveling while over there. Go see my cousin in Cambridge and travel over to Ireland to say I've done so at least. Nothings in stone yet, but I know it needs to happen soon at the least.
