How inhumane do you have to be before you can do something like this.

And we in the west are part to blame for this. Cause we allow products made of dog and cat hair in our shops.

if you're raised around it and taught that it's right, you wouldn't have a problem with doing it either.

a petition isn't going to do shit to china, they don't care. short of going over there and cutting their hands off, there's nothing we can really do

While I respect "the people of Israel"s concern about animal welfare in China, they need to get a clue on human rights in that country first and foremost.

Oh no.

They're just animals

/sarcasm

That sucks, but what can we really do about it, It's not like they're gonna change just 'cause we don't like it.

They don't give a shi-.

yes, this was cruel

but in my opinion, all the money that goes to peta and other animal rights associations should be used to feed hungry children in africa, fight aids, clear minefields in afghanistan etc.

Yeah, it's funny how people get so worked up over animals when there are children dieing or going without families.  Makes a lot of sense.

How about China's abortion epidemic?
I stood in line for four hours. They better give me a Wal-Mart gift card, or something.  - Rodney Booker, Job Fair attendee.

Right, what about it?  Why is it not a bigger issue than the animals rights?  Makes no sense to me.

The peta video is far worse. Includes the extended clip of the racoon skinning among other horrible scenes.

I think it's horrible but I'd rather donate to save human lives tbh

We won Darwin's evolutionary game. so we ought to be able to do what we want. including eating animals. I personally would never do anything cruel to an animal, but i see no point in letting PETA survive.

(unless we are talking about People for Eating Tasty Animals)

How about Chinas human rights violations?

Because these animals are cute we should care more about them than we do Tibetans.

Too bad they aren't cute and fluffy. You might care about it then.

I never said I don't care about the plight of the Tibetans; however, I shall ask once more: are they being skinned alive? The answer is no. While they are being horribly abused, having their culture and lives being destroyed, they are not being skinned alive.

What difference does that make?

"Sure it's genocide, but that aren't being skinned alive...."

So they should be thankful for this fact?

No. I'm just stating that being skinned alive is far worse than being shot dead. They shouldn't be thankful, but it should be clear that being skinned is worse of the two evils in the context of two animal victims. When one factors in the sympathy for our own species and our "awareness" of such blights against our own people then the two evils seems to exist on the same level.

If I had $20K to spend:

Spend it on saving lots of baby seals or whatever your favorite cudly cute flea bag is?

Spend it on saving a human child from starving or receiving medical attention that would save their life?

Yeah, tough choice.
