I remember on Combat Ace or whatever the show is called on the Military Channel they were showing this duel between an F15E and a MiG 25 Foxbat, it was pretty crazy. The funny thing was whenever the F15 got a lock on, the MiG 25 would just accelerate and the F15 would have to try and lock on again

F15E finally got him, he said it wasn't hard to keep him in sights because the thing was doing like Mach 3 or whatever, so it's turn radius was like the size of Texas. So yeah, when he finally "caught up" by cutting off by making a shorter circle he AIM-120ed him.Ioan92 wrote:

yes, its meant to be a Mig-25 (Iraq never got any Mig-31's as far as i know). One of these bad boys shot down a USN F-18 in 1991 apparently!
