well i just got 1.5 installed and i gotta say, the new map is actually a lot of fun! I joined an I/O server and USA already had two land flags, so it was a blast. And I didn't notice anything wrong with default hitreg settings.

When we restarted the round though, i went 8-0 ERYX'ing usa boats



With vehicles it was just as fun. I like it!

But, I didn't experience getting raeped

The patch isn't properly released, so ranked servers still run 1.41, of course they will still be running.

add a friends list like they had in 2142, don't know if they removed it haven't played it in years

I'm glad somebody else likes the map. I love it, I've racked up a few hours on it already.

The map is good for everything. It's a great armour map, but you can usually avoid armour if you use your head, making it an awesome infantry map. The APC is very good on this map, particularly the LAV as it can squeeze into all kinds of places no other vehicles can go. Amphibious APCinfg is quite useful on this map.

Sometimes when both teams lose their armmour spawns the game becomes almost like I/O (although the USMC always have APCs from their uncap).

A damn fine map, the only flaw is the occasionally boring failure of the US to land. Although that happens surprisingly rarely in practice.

I fucking installed the patch, but when i try to connect to any server, the game hangs for a second and then the music theme restarts, showing me no error screen! What the fuck??? How to fix it?

EDIT:

i ran pbsetup.exe and its working, all stories with xfire / fraps breaking the game are bullshit

Try temporarily removing your Battlefield 2 folder from your documents

Jump -> crouch to get into window at palace.

lol it will be second nature soon, Its my only way to enter the palace nowadays.

Lol, I'm not playing the beta myself yet, but I wondered also, have they done somewthing about the claywhoring? I reall hate players that 'freeze' you. When they just bunnyhop and throw claymores in CQB. Its easy to kill them, but once you did you can't move because the shit will go off and they still get a killpoint.

Na, just keep moving and you're fine...you'll only die if you stop when he drops the claymore and stay there long enough for it to arm.

It's not true on XP. The patch automatically installed to my H drive, which is where BF2 is installed.

Installed fine into C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\ for me on Vista tbh.

No. They just removed the ability to destroy said claymores.

They removed that in 1.41 right? I want it back; have them destroyable by nades. It's ridicilous how even a dead sniper can hold an position for minutes.

I'd also like a little bit more accuracy or splash damage for the M203 and equivalents. Now you can hit a guy on his toes and he'll still walk like a leopard.
