this is a system i was kind of throughing together i want to keep it under 4000 dollars cause thats all i got saved up for

i want to buy the new
*2 7900 sli video card
and dual core processor
with that stuff in mind could any of you guys or girls help me through to gether a new system plz.
thank in advance

hmm dual 7900s  only 20%increase i think who knows(rich bastard)
i say get any Xfi soundcard, maybe the xtrememusic which is still pretty good.(not sure though with Xram)

2.  Get a good Crt or fast rt LCD
3. maybe the x2 4800 is a good idea .  I use it and i like it.
4.  decent keyboard and mouse (ideal: gaming keyboard if you really want a good looking one and maybe a g5 or copperhead or that raptor gaming mouse)
5.  Good HD like the newest raptor for all your games and probably a 250 gig hd for the rest of your stuff

maybe just a good heatset if u have neihboors that dont like loud stuff.

6.  Motherboard, im not good with SLI motherboards so your on your own on that part.

and finally and good PSU, 550w of 650w idk

The OP wanted a dual-core CPU, so the FX-60 will do nicely. It's still $1000, though. But the OP should seriously consider waiting for socket AM2, rather than spending $4000 on a current setup.
