It's derived from the Quake 3 engine, but a lot of the engine is new for CoD4. It still uses the very core Q3 engine, but I don't know any game that uses a completely original proprietary engine.Finray wrote:

I did that and I only saw two servers not even running promod. Do I need to change any other filters? I turned hardcore off
Trip report: Seems like a fun mod and all but it kind of sucks the fun out in a way. I listen to music regularly playing and I enjoy that but with this mod there's way too much emphasis on sound I can't play with my music and that detracts the fun for me. I also don't like that it's only one gamemode of S&D but I guess that's the only gamemode which can be played competitively. Fun but not to my taste.

I'll check out and see if I can find any TDM next time I play. I do like the emphasis on low team counts as I usually hate playing with more than 6v6.
