Hey BF2S,

I just got my first build and finished building all of it today.  When I boot up it isn't posting and is giving a beep code.  Also, somehow my monitor doesn't really work.  The light doesn't turn orange when I push it, it only flashes orange and nothing else happens.

For the monitor, it's a 22" Acer monitor.

My beep code is 2 short beeps, the site says it's some sort of memory error.  I have tried each stick individually and it still beeps.  Also, I have a fancy LED on my board and it stops when it reaches 85.  Don't know if that helps or not.

This is my build:
AMD Phenom II 720 BE
Foxconn A79A-S
2 x 2 GB 800 MHz G Skill Pi Black RAM
MSI Radeon 4830
WD Caviar Blue 500GB
Raidmax 530W PSU
Cooler Master Centurion 5
Freezer 64 Pro

It's pretty nice so far except for the beeping.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

Have any other memory lying around? If so test that.
It could be that both DIMMs are fried.

for the led display, look into your owners manual. it should say something about the error codes.

The manual doesn't have anything like that.  It just explains what to do, and the various software that came bundled.

I'll double check the power, and I don't have any machines with DDR2 support or any DDR2 memory laying around.  Kinda sucks.

EDIT:  I FAIL.  More like my monitor fails.  The cable is REALLY loose and it keeps on unplugging itself.

The cable was loose and it just didn't power on at all.

Anyways everything's running fine and I have the OB installed and stuff.  Going to play some TF2 now.

Thanks.
