Despite my previous comment, I've heard examples of the music, saw a bit of the single-unit maps and some of the FMV stuff. I don't know about the single units, but the other 2/3 tend to make a game for me if everything else is merely adequate. If this is (or will be) out on disc, I'll shoot for that. If not, I guess I'll have to download/burn...

Well, apparantly, they now, literally, have mammoth tanks.
This will be the first CnC title since I bought the original RA 10 years ago that I will not be buying, playing or trialing. This is no longer Red Alert, this is a joke.
For me, this is a step too far. I enjoy SP on the C&C games, but the sheer stupidity of these units is just, not RA.

The Mammoth (and all its animations) was taken from BFME and the turret is a hacked Mammoth Tank turret from from CnC3.
Also if you read the description it becomes a bit more clear.
Also stupid units make RTS more fun. Realism fails hard.

Well, played through the Yuriko campaign. I love how they went to all the effort to write victory music and map-loading by-stories...but unlike Dawn of War, it doesn't wait for your input to start or leave the map. In the time it takes me to load a level, I can read one sentence. When I win, I hear two syllables of Japanese wailing.

The whole concept of tesla troops is just retarded. The giant squid and such were awesome, despite being not much use.
Getting RA3 soon. Managed to work out a way to get legit copy without spending cash. Gotta love IOU notes.

I really like the commander's challenge the best though.
IMO the campaigns were pretty rubbish especially the yukiro one. Most people seem to like those though. Commander's challenge is really fun though and I would've bought it for just that.

The only campaign I really didn't like was Yuriko's, I really liked the Soviet campaign, but mostly because it does a good job of showing that the Allies are real bastards just like the other twoFat_Swinub wrote:
