What buttons do you use?

I installed BF2 again, after a long while, and I find I totally suck at it now.

I used to be quite good at BF2, including I/O and whatnot. However now, I'm only mediocre period, and suck ballz at I/O...mainly cause I'm not as fluent with my buttons as I was before.

See, before I was one of those arrow key gamers. It worked alright for BF2, but once CoD4 came out I had was convinced by a friend that WASD was much better and so I tried it out, got addicted, and yeah...now I use WASD. Now, it is very hard to go from WASD to arrow keys and back again, so I put BF2 to default controls. It's alright but, z for prone makes dolphin diving fucking hard.

So, what do you guys use for basic controls? I tried doing C for crouch and left ctrl for prone (like CoD4) but I don't really like it. I might try left alt for crouch instead, so that I can keep my fingers on WASD for movement.

What say ya'll?

How can you expect to use a mouse, arrow keys and the rest of the keyboard at the same time your way? It doesn't work.

I have 1,2,3 and 4 bound to different vehicle views so I don't have to scroll through with C, everything else is pretty standard.

Most of my keys are default, some exceptions are.

x - jump
space - prone
left alt - showing flags on the horizon (on/off)
left ctrl - camera

WASD - For movement of course.
E - Primary Weapon
Shift - Crouch
Space bar - Jump but is also my parachute button
1 - Pistol
2 & Mouse Button 5 - Knife
Mouse Button 4 - Prone
F - Cycle weapons
4 - Enter/Exit
3 - Does something, can't remember.
Q - Normal function.

Absolutely no macro use of any kind.

I edited my .con file to have space for the parachute.
Also, I have my 3rd, 4th and 4th mouse buttons for defibrillator, nightvision and gas mask.
And two keys for prone next to my left shift key, so I can smash my little finger anywhere.

1234567890 = weapons (dont use the mouse scroll wheel to select weapons, it blows)
X = smoke
Space = jump/parachute
Q = com rose thingie
F = enter vehicle

EDIT: and middle mouse button for weapon #4, which is grenades or AT rockets

Pretty much default, WASD and so on.... only changes are with mouse, low sensitivity on a Logitech G5 and i do something very rare... i always play with "Invert Mouse"! Think it was Doom/DukeNukem in 1998 or something which had automatic "Invert Mouse ON", as a noob i didnt bother changing anything and i got stuck with it since then on CS for a large amount of years, tried a couple of times to play "normal" but that only confuses me as what is up/down, gives me a headache and makes me feel like i just started playing a FPS game lol... strangely i dont get confused what is up/down with the mouse when im using it normaly on Windows
