The only thing I didn't like from the naval battle was chainshot would take down whole masts fairly easily. In reality top sections would fall away sooner, as the mast width narrows towards the top and was weaker.
Is this different in the full version?

There appears to have been some fault in distribution or delivery of Empire in many Canadian territories. SEGA are investigating this and we'll get back to you as soon as we have any more news. Thank you to everyone who's going out looking for the game and trying hard to get it, we're doing all we can to get it to you!

The Steam price is crazy, just wait a few days to be honest. I have the Special Edition of Empire and it was still cheaper from Amazon.co.uk than it would have been for the regular edition from Steam- and the Amazon SE comes with one extra unit to the already-bonus units of the SE. Winrar. It's not long to wait to be honest, I'm sure the hype and discussion will keep your interest .
Halfway through the American mini-campaign. The cinematics and storyline aspects are brilliant, and the gradual way that it introduces each gameplay mechanic/element within the context of the American colonisation/civil war is awesome. The warfare is great as well, I just love the style of Empire's realtime fights. When playing the demo I was a little "meh" about the land-battle, but as soon as those land-battles have a purpose and an actual campaign-setting, they become twice as epic and way more 'thrilling' to play.

The American Revolution and how it plays out would be cool as a historical scenario for Empires.

Road to independence I need to paly more TBh but introduces new stuff well.
Great Britain Campaign is my main one. I got a lot of focus on research going on but am slowly moving towards my goals. Last turn took Gibraltar and sent a trade fleet to the Ivory coast.
Prussia is y other campaign. I really need to decide on who to attack. Poland-Lithuania is too big as is Austria. :S
