Or, I dunno, I am just guessing, but they are reacting to a situation at the moment. Probably reacting the same way we would given the same situation. However, since we charge cops to deal with the scum of the earth so we do not have to, it is easy to sit back and critize how they do it without giving a thought as to the circumstances surrounding it.

I am raising them to understand that in their lives, they hold all the cards and make their own lives as great or as miserable as they choose. I have raised them to know what choices they have in life and which oneslead to stabilty and prosparity and which lead to self destruction

This girl is already guilty, she has history she is a problem.

So if your kids screw up in life and one day manage to get arrested, are you just going to say tough shit when they get the crap beaten out of them by cops? I'd like to think you possess some form of care towards your family.

I do care for my kids, which is why if they screw up I will not simply bail them out. IE. if arrested for DUI I promise you they will sit in jail. If they assaulted a cop and got ass whipped for it, I promise you I will be asking if the cop is ok before I tend to my son.

How about you, you plan on excusing your kids behavior their whole lives?

Unlike you I don't think the cop was in the right, so I've got nothing to change my view of.

Nope, I said I am not ready to hang cops at every turn based on armchair quarterbacking by those with frame by frame 20/20 hindsight.

I said I give the cops the benefit of the doubt over the criminals they are trying to arrest.

I also said, cops deserve more latitude in dealing with the scum od society since they get second guessed in every situation and told what they shoulda done by those who were not there, don't want to be there, and could not handle being there themselves.

Lastly I said, if it turns out that a criminal gets a beat down, I can sleep just fine over it.

No. Cops go through training. They're supposed to deal with situations like this with civility and through what their training told them to do. They were taught how to take down someone who was attacking them without BASHING THEIR FUCKING HEAD IN ON A CONCRETE WALL. And yes, that's EXACTLY what they're supposed to fucking do! Cuff you, read you your miranda rights, put you in holding and take you to trial. They're not fucking vigilantes!

Cops are humans, but they've been trained to go against their instinct. But this wasn't even instinct. This was a cop with a history of bad behavior taking his anger out on the typical teenager who thinks nothing of authority. But I don't care if she's a neo-nazi. NOTHING could ever justify what he did unless she had a shotgun aimed at the cops or was doing something to threaten their lives. She kicked a FUCKING SHOE at them. And she looks like some 5'6" girl who weights 120 pounds.

Why don't we just let anyone we want become cops? Then your argument will work, because they truly will be "human". Until then and they eradicate Police Academies around the country, your argument is null and void.

i understand where you're coming from, but the whole point of them being cops is to use their best judgment at all times. you can't honestly say that this cop's actions were justified because his emotions got out of control

Nope never said he was justified. I am more inclined to forgive a cop for a misjudgement when they are faced with 1000's of decisions as day, some of which are life altering. I am able to do this because a cop does not try and set out to do bad they have noble intentions and yet are human.

A criminal who seems to get more sympathy on this forum, sets out to do bad and harm toward others. If I must sympathize with someone, it will always be the cop.
