The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP
Okay, he (hypothetically) would probably think that he could buy an xbox, buy an HD tv, and use the cable from his monitor to his graphics card to go from his xbox to his hdtv. If you had just taken it as a shit joke in the first place it wouldn't have been quite such a shitter joke.Freezer7Pro wrote:

You can use the monitor cable to connect the xbox to the monitor if the monitor supports the resolutionFinray wrote:

Component video does 1080p fine
once upon a midnight dreary, while i pron surfed, weak and weary, over many a strange and spurious site of ' hot xxx galore'. While i clicked my fav'rite bookmark, suddenly there came a warning, and my heart was filled with mourning, mourning for my dear amour, " 'Tis not possible!", i muttered, " give me back my free hardcore!"..... quoth the server, 404.
Umm, you guys do realize that VGA cable (analog), can do 1920 x 1200, which is higher than 1080P (HDMI).
Sold to a friend for $80 shipped. I even had all original stuff! Tell me he didn't get a good deal.

I've owned that card for a year now. Not a single problem with plus with the aftermarket heatsink.
Edit: Plus look at the number of review. Reviews don't lie.

I stopped trusting Newegg reviews quite a while ago. If you buy MSI, you aren't paying for quality. That's just a fact. You might get lucky and it'll work for quite some time, but it's still gambling.Naturn wrote:

Ya, but the point still stands. VGA CAN do 1920x1200.Defiance wrote:

OMFG, these things are fucking incredible!
Holy shit.
Just got them today...my music sounds completely different. In a good way, of course. Oh and... holy sound muffling batman! It feels like I'm wearing shooting muffs, I can't hear a damned thing around me.
Can, but I remember a post by you stating that by the time you get in to those high resolutions, the image gets so degraded over analog it may as well not be able to.Freezer7Pro wrote:

That's mostly due to my cheapish monitors shitty analogue/digital converter. A good monitor, graphics card and cable will have no trouble at all.Defiance wrote:

My brother (jay) got an 8400GS, he's selling my dad his computer, and wanted to Ebay the 8800GTX that was in it, since my dad won't use it.
Just out of curiosity, what does the 8400 stack up to?
