This reads like something out of the Onion:

I like that bit about the "well-to-do families" and their $16,000 in vacations a year. How about just visiting family instead of fucking expensive trips? Do you REALLY need super expensive dresses and chauffeurs and a personal trainer that follows you every day of the year? NO YOU DON'T.

I cannot believe that these people have the nerve to ask us to have some sympathy for them because they might have to downgrade from the 10 bedroom 10 bath home to the 6 bedroom 4 bath home... and heaven forbid that they have to drive a BMW 760 instead of a Rolls Royce.

How the hell is that article bitching about the Dalton School, it's not even that super-expensive. For a country that hates socialism and state-run shit, why are you bitching at your own prestigious private education institutions?

Not everybody is complaining.  If these CEO's earned their money and spend it this way, that is up to them.  If the company they run takes a bail-out, the government has the option of putting stipulations on it.  The company/CEO has to decide if it is worth it.  Simple as that.

The problem isn't the money, it's the lifestyle that everyone is used to. The class system is real, and that's what these people need to get over instead of keeping the status quo. The economy isn't doing top-notch right now, and almost everyone needs to adapt to that.
I'm sure Colbert would love this article for Colbert Platinum, though (not that I've ever watched it because I'm not a Platinum viewer )

Its all relative.
I doubt the average somali has a lot of sympathy for the average 20 stone American who might only be able to go to McDs 5 times a week instead of 7 thanks to the recession.

i thought the bailouts were to keep banks from going under, not help continue the extravagent lifestyle of its overpayed CEOs. them and all these fucking celebs that make millions for doing nothing productive (the CEOs were only looking out for themselves, not their company or the nation, and celebs, well, they do nothing) should all get a grip of reality and do whats right, take a pay cut, just bc its in contract to get payed 5 mill a yr, doesnt mean they should in this economy.

There should be contracts... Your company performs you get paid... your company sucks... you get no pay... and a kick in the ass out the door...

There also shouldn't be any limits put on what a succesful person or business can make... the 500k is pointless and will be circumvented by companies... Being successful is not a crime... accepting a salary for running your company in the ground is...
