That part about the deductions seems... off. How can I not have any taxable income?

Not me, I'm just scared that the IRS might take me to their death camps.TheAussieReaper wrote:

If anything goes wrong, its turbotaxes fault.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Also, TurboTax says that it finds no errors with my return. I guess having moar deduction than income is fine?

Audit defense tbh.
Turbo tax offers it. Basically if the IRS questions you forward it to them. They take care of it.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

I've been watching too many gangster and mob movies. To me that sounded like if the IRS causes you any problems turbo tax will come round and whack them.Kmarion wrote:

I'm guessing that costs money. Supposedly my dad has an accountant, if the IRS really wants to question a fucking 17 year old ice cream store employee who owed less than $25 to the government in taxes then he'll take care of it.Kmarion wrote:

It's like 19.99. If I'm getting a significant amount back I do it for peace of mind. It's worth it.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

That was phrased poorly actually; $24 was withheld from my income for the government. According to TurboTax, those pigs don't deserve a single cent.
I don't see anything wrong. I've had no taxable income many times. I can't tell you exactly why because I don't know the laws on what's deductible in the US.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

Or you could go the ironic route and pirate Turbo Tax. Although I'm not condoning anything.Hurricane2k9 wrote:

If there's one thing I'd never pirate it's stuff like TaxCut and TurboTax. Considering they directly connect to the IRS' (aka GOVERNMENT) servers, I'd rather not run the risk of it secretly reporting that it's a pirated copy and then being taken to the FBI's death camp.Poseidon wrote:
