Of course I don't consider Americans arrogant spoiled and entitled for no other reason than because they are Americans. I will say they are more entitled than others, it is one of the freedoms they enjoy. That does not make them arrogant or spoiled.

What I was looking for is why you think most Americans are lazy and arrogant. It could just be those you have met, or maybe you've got some insight into the other life styles and attitudes you've come across from around the world. I don't know, which is why I asked.

We are lazy because our attitude is lazy. We are too lazy to raise our own kids, it is better to invent a syndrome to cover their shitty behavior. We are arrogant goes without explaining, if you can't see that, then this is hopeless. All of Europe thinks we are spoiled arrogant and lazy. How is it you missed that? The reason why they think that is because they are right.

I won't get into a ADD debate with you, I'll agree that there are a lot of children who are misdiagnosed by doctors who are more than happy to subscribe medication than a stricter parenting.

As to Europe's opinion on Americans being lazy? I wouldn't say they are right. I think that the perceived anti-American sentiment comes from anti-Bush sentiment you've witnessed. If it were anti-American exclusively you wouldn't have seen Obama absolutely swamped like a rock star when he visited Berlin, for example (it was over the top I'm sure you'll agree). And a lot of the anti-US sentiment is falling now he is in office.

The only really thorn in America's side at the moment in terms of world relations is it's clear break away from UN majority rulings for Israel\Hamas relations.

Well done lowing. With a single poll of the forums you've managed to prove that Europe thinks Americans are spoiled arrogant and lazy.

Or at least you would have, had the poll been available for Europeans only. Wait, no you wouldn't. Go through the thread and read up on what the Europeans said, and try to take note that it was Americans who saw themselves as the negative stereotype.

Majority rules? I think you poll is biased and open for Americans to answer. So let's just see the results of Europeans real answer, not from the poll results that included Americans voting. You were talking about Europeans views? The stereotypical view of Americans by Europe, right?

Here, I'll take page one as an example:

Americans on page one-

How about some Europeans views? You know, the ones this poll should have targeted?

I know, same rules. We get the responses from page one, to contrast the opinions of Europeans. As I said, the guys your poll should have been exclusive for, but sadly wasn't. Oh well. Here, we'll just take their quotes and see what we can come up with shall we? I'll make it easy and bold some if you'd like?

I could write a similar list for every other culture and civilisation.

I'm sure you could say things about Brits but most of the time we just get lumped into a "Silly Euros" category. It's weird how or why Americans do that. No, the EU is not like the US. Travelling from Ireland to fucking.....Slovenia or whatever, is much different than going from NYC to LA...if you get what I'm trying to say here. Is that people in the EU aren't the same all over at all, no way near at all, and it's nothing like how homogeneous (relatively speaking) the population of the USA is.

But, of course, that is not the same as saying all Americans are "spoiled, gluttonous, arrogant".
Oh dear, Scorp argrees with you that Europe thinks Americans are lazy, arrogant and spoiled.

No, I was wrong. He then changes his answer:

So, after all the Europeans on page one, how many believed in your stereotype?

Because it certainly seems the Americans believe in it. Funny that Europeans don't.

So, as you were saying majority rules? I don't think so. Unless you consider the majority of Europeans who DON'T believe Americans are arrogant, spoiled and lazy.

Great poll lowing. Next time try to make one exclusive for who you were trying to get answers from. It could cloud your poll, like this one. lol

Yer right and I apologize, this is not the consensus of Europeans only, rather the consensus of the world instead, including us Americans, who live here and know first hand how we act. My point is rendered invalid I guess.

Moving on.
