But to answer your question: It is screwed up, Many of us have way over a 1000 gas/flash points and never received the veteran badge.

1. Go Support.
2. Go to random corner of map.
3. Use tear gas mask.

I count it as stat padding. I only got the tactical because on Warlord the SAS team had pushed the Insurgents into the TV building where they couldn't get out. I gassed the place and ran in all guns blazing.

Stat Padding is any way that is artifical to gain points, so going into a corner spamming gas/flash/hooks/ziplines is statpadding

That's pathetic padding if you ask me. Perhaps made necessary by the high requirements, but it's still sad. Hell, if you're gonna get EA on your ass for padding you might as well have 2,000 knife kills and revives to show for it, not 2,000 deployed zip lines.

Actually it's impossible without padding. EA screwed up the code and it wants 1,000 uses IAR not Globally . . .
