Has anyone ever successfully landed a plane before?

...no? its not that difficult. just cut your speed, fly parallel to the ground, and keep your nose up.
ok cool.
just curious

managed it in 1942, but didn't try it in BF2
just as easy as landing a chopper, or driving a jeep. Really not that difficult.
It's even easier with those VTOL planes (I don't remember the name). Just press S.
haha landed this on wake some how i realllly cant remember how, but then some noob commander jumped in trying to take off,

Saving myself the time to type by taking what they said, which if your not an illiterate dumbass, you would notice it says 'yes' which would mean that i too have landed a plane.ThomasMorgan wrote:

ironic you use "your" instead of "you're" while speaking of illiteracy, no?LOSER|Tearsofromance wrote:

now go play outside.
also ironic that you say "go play outside" while you're typing on your computer on an internet forum. although i supposed you could be on a laptop using wireless internet whilst outside, but somehow i highly doubt it.
sit down, before i call mommy.ThomasMorgan wrote:

Back on topic plz kthx<3
...but i already am sitting down. please do call her actually, i haven't talked to her in about two weeks and i'd like to see how her new job is going.
and yes, ask to get back on topic after saying something unrelated to the topic.
anyway, yes, it is entirely possible to land planes and no, not just on runways as lord_tyler_486 shows.

People in igloos shouldn't comment on other peoples typing errors. Makes them want to piss on your house.ThomasMorgan wrote:

What's you issue with Capitals at the beginning of sentences?
By the way, did you consider that Tear might have meant "gay" in the happy, joyful definition?Makes the whole sentence read different:
"it's happy/ joyful , what a waste of my time..."
What if he was just wanting to remain in a focused and angry mood, and the landing of a plane wreaked his muse?
Oh, and please do check my grammar. In fact, you may copy and paste it into MS Word, and press "shift+F7" to make it easier on you. Wouldn't want your spawn camping brain to get hurt thinking for too long.
Yes: I have played against you.
Yes: I know you were spawn camping (against the servers rules)
No: I didn't care, because I still took the round.
Back on topic:
Yeah, I don't get it either. Landed a plane in the middle of the field, but it wasn't a harrier, so I couldn't get it off the ground, without damaging it.
That left the options of I could either blow it up, or leave it there for someone else to blow up.
I should have walked and saved the energy.
I regularly land planes inside the tunnel on Kubra Dam.

That's great, but why? I understand if this is for playing on unranked servers, much like the go cart races people are having, but I don't see the purpose otherwise.uk.solidsnake wrote:

Oh the side: I have been trying to play chase plane, on unranked servers.
Simple rules:
1 - you take one plane, and a person from the other side takes another.
2 - if your the rabbit, you lead, otherwise your the fox -> follow.
3 - leave the missiles on, and get a lock on the enemy.
4 - follow the enemy plane, no matter what moves they go for (not as easy as you might think).
5 - if you loose lock on for more than 5 seconds, the roles are reversed (rabbit <--> fox)
Most often, people crash trying to do this, but it is fun anyway. The reason we do this on unranked servers is to eliminate the risk of AA whores. It builds up your dogfighting skills too.
This is also good to do on "Go-Cart" servers, as most of them don't care about the planes.
i can land is easy but it takes so much space thats its not worth it
