I'd consider showing you more proof, taking the time to sift through links and research data and present the case.

But if that's the best you have, along with "koolaid" comments, well your not worth the effort.

So can somebody explain to me why this part of science has been used for liberals and conservatives to wage war with each other?

I don't get whats so liberal or conservative about a part of science that scientist would decide and not politicians.

So what are your qualifications, are you from a science background ? Just curious, 'cuz yelling down somebody elses OPINION when you are basically another google-warrior is pretty pathetic in itself. "Flat earthers" ?

So I'd love to hear what science degrees you hold, and see any studies or papers you have produced.

(I also don't understand why the fuck you feel compelled to abuse the bold function in every post, in most forums you would be ridiculed for such annoying attention-whore format choices, but apparently it's just accepted here so I will stfu about that now)

Myself, I think that warming or  'climate change' is definitely happening, but I don't think it's absolutly been proven beyond any doubt that human activity is the direct cause -- as others said -- the jury's still out, and so I don't really buy into the more extreme hysteria, but generally don't berate those who truly believe

edit to add : I have no science training or background myself.

It is almost like a religious debate..

Anyway, this is a pretty good site that has loads of stuff on Both Sides, enjoy

Because conservatives do not want to place emissions taxes on businesses, limit drilling\mining etc.

Remember Palin's (sorry to mention her) cat cry of Drill, Baby Drill?

The Democrats were completely against that line of thinking. They want to better research alternate energies.

The Republicans want to sustain the coal, oil industries as best they can because they get a lot of funding from those organizations.

If man made climate change was dispelled there would be a lot of funding pulled. How many billions were allocated to climate research during the last "stimulus" plan? It's silly to think that only one side has a financial stake in this. Yea, there would be a lot of unemployed scientist if the world were to suddenly become unconcerned.

So then why don't they try to find common ground? Like tax breaks to companies that fund a collective effort into Alternate energy. Then give the companies that made it exclusive rights to produce it?

Really I can't believe we haven't done that yet.

Republicans want to try everything, but they want economically efficient ways to apply. They want new research and the oil that is needed now. Besides it is not the United States alone that can prevent what you people want. Do you think China is going to give a damn...Look at Beijing that city is in a smog.

They are trying to. But for a business to research into producing a green car for example, it costs a lot of money.

Who killed the electric car?

Only now that you've got automakers failing is more effort being placed into monetary incentives for greener tech. It's also got part to do with a Democrat govt. now in place, but the Republicans weren't overtly trying to kill the green car, but they did.

Why did the green car have such a bad rep, poor marketing and high cost?

If there had been more investment into just a few areas the auto-industry would imo be much more viable than in it's current form, and all the advantages of using cleaner tech would be coming into effect. Or at least as the conversion was taking place, anyway.

The plan was never to roll out 100% of cars made to be green.

Anyway, no point in lamenting what might have been now.

the natural population (human) of the Earth is supposed to be around 1/2 a million not 6.7 billion , a thousand years to go back to what it was , yeah that and a bit more.

i read a science article a while back that said we (humans) were meant to be rare not common. we seriously need to wipe out 3/4 quarters of our population right now to give this planet a chance at sustaining us for another 1000 years.
