Pat Condell wrote:

The truth is sometimes offensive, but it doesn't make it any less true, and the truth is that there are millions of people all over the western world that are absolutely sick and tired of Islam, they are sick of hearing about it and they are sick of making allowances for it that aren't deserved and they feel enough is enough, and their voices will be heard. The multicultural mafia can pretend it ain't so and they can pass all the laws they want to and continue to harass people and shut down internet connections and generally behave like the gestapo, but it isn't going to work, you can't change peoples hearts by force, we are not going to respect Islam until Islam starts to respect us, but then if that ever happened, it wouldn't be Islam anymore, and that in a nutshell, is the problem.

Saw that story a while ago. Pretty despicable affront to the principle of free speech. Doesn't change the fact that he and Pat Condell are hate-filled imbecilic lowlifes though, even if the latter does make a good point every once in a while.

Indeed, once you have seen one pat condell video, you have seen all pay condell videos.  People seem to lap it up though.

I don't agree with it, but he's a massive douche, so I really couldn't give a shit. As is Pat Condell.

He might win an award anyway, so not really.

Well, he's getting all the free publicity he needs to step up the ladder, this incident will probably strengthen his support instead of weaken it.

What's with the attitude of the now that you can't tell someone their culture may be harmful in some ways, why don't they get themselves a representative to disprove that claim instead of sueing people. It's as if nobody has a pair anymore, crying about everything.

but it shows how terrified the dutch are of the small muslim minority in their country, and if history has taught us anything, it's that appeasement never works.

From what I read in the article the problem is more that he said what he said as a member of Parliament as opposed to as a private citizen.

The three judges said that they had weighed Mr Wilders's "one-sided generalisations" against his right to free speech, and ruled that he had gone beyond the normal leeway granted to politicians.
Fuck Pat Condell.  At least he recognizes his medium - youtube.  Keep preaching to the internet, Condell!  You are marginally less influential than 4chan.  GG.

Yes, another Islam thread! Honestly, I'm surprised anyone even cares about this hatemongering, xenophobic prick. Don't try to dress this up as appeasement. He just likes to spout uninformed generalizations and stir up media attention. It's nigh racism so that's why he's facing lawsuits.

It is in Belgium, don't know about the Netherlands.

The Belgian Anti-Racism Law, in full, the Law of July 30, 1981 on the Punishment of Certain Acts inspired by Racism or Xenophobia, is a law passed by the Federal Parliament of Belgium in 1981 which made certain acts motivated by racism or xenophobia illegal. It is also known as the Law Philippe Moureaux.

Among others, the following acts were made illegal by the Anti-Racism Law:

    * Incitement to discrimination, hatred or violence against a person on account of race, colour, origin or national or ethnic descent, in the circumstances given in Article 444 of the Belgian Penal Code;
    * Incitement to discrimination, segregation, hatred or violence against a group, community or its members on account of race, colour, origin or national or ethnic descent, in the circumstances given in Article 444 of the Belgian Penal Code; and
    * Announcing the intention to commit any of the aforementioned offences, in the circumstances given in Article 444 of the Belgian Penal Code.

The circumstances given in Article 444 of the Belgian Penal Code are as follows: either in public meetings or places; or in the presence of several people, in a place that is not public but accessible to a number of people who are entitled to meet or visit there; or in any place in the presence of the offended person and in front of witnesses; or through documents, printed or otherwise, illustrations or symbols that have been displayed, distributed, sold, offered for sale, or publicly exhibited; or finally by documents that have not been made public but which have been sent or communicated to several people.
