Only difference is, my model doesn't have the red plastic crap. And no, I don't use the force feedback...but the motor has a nice bit of weight holding it down.
I use this too, and I really like its response and its wide heavy base for sitting in your lap.

but can't really say that this joystick is teh 1337 because i never really used any other ones

i'd love to try others but mine's working great atm..

Its old, but it gets the job done. I do like the joy stick in the x52 set up, but think the throttle is overkill, and I also think all the Saitek single joysticks feel cheap, so alas i will just stick with what I have =p
agreed it gets the job done and all the new ones dont feel right and this one just feels right.
