Only if You are an anime fan I think.
Funny how the people of the world have allowed these nutcases to kill over 300 million people. Thankfully the americans war effort put a stop to those unhumans beasts.
Actually, American nor its allies did not really care about Hitler killing millions of innocent people.

I would like to know why the kids were removed.  As distasteful as their views are, the parents don't deserve to lose their kids to the government simply because of their opinions.  But hey, the government yanked all the kids away from their parents in that religious compound.  Apparently if the government can smear you as a weirdo, the public is willing to turn a blind eye to blatant civil rights violations.
While I supported the government's actions in the case of the FLDS, I would say this is entirely different.

These parents didn't separate their children in a compound.  They just named their kid a really bad name.

I'll put it this way.  I really hope this kid was removed for something other than a name, because if not, this was a pretty dumb move.

The irony of this is that the state acted in a way that was Nazi-like in its own way.
I'm so happy for the kid that the state is in power instead of people like you.
Ask yourself for a moment how you would feel if the state decided it didn't like the name you've given your child and then decided to take him/her from you?

Law is about precedents.  If you give the state the power to remove children over a given name, you have left many of your own rights vulnerable.

Your problem is that you think the kid will be fine in school, He wont. He might be able to pass first and second grade because they havn't gotten to WW2 history but when they do that kid is gonna feel bad because now the kid wanna know why his parents named him after a mass murderer, the kids in school will pick on him just because of the name and if you think namecalling isn't gonna hurt anyone you don't really know how it feels. It happen to me and a lot of kids around the world.

I sure hope the kid get another name.

Then the name I would give my kid would be a normal one, not after a mass murderer or any worlds most hated men.

What kind of name do you think are bad for kids then? There are just few names that really can't name after.

The childs name was ADOLF HITLER.
What the fuck is wrong with you people defending these parents? I sure as hell would have wanted to be taken away from parents that would name me after the most famous murdering dictator ever on this planet.

The naming laws are there to protect the CHILD not the parents.
I say it again: A child is not the parents toy.

Gawwad, I don't like the choice these parents made either, but I also don't want to give the government too much power.  What this child might go through is pretty insignificant to what all of us could go through if we're not careful about limiting governmental power.

From the looks of this thread it's only the Europeans who are pissy about his name. Perhaps I don't know enough info about European culture and they're probobly still angry about World War 2 and what happened.

Now the Europeans have to understand American culture. In the United States most people really don't care about what happened during World War 2. Except Jewish people and some World War 2 veterans nobody really cares. As he grows up even less people will care.

Gawwad I don't like your name. Whenever I hear it, I'm reminded of Ghengis Khan. Back way before I was born and in a place far far away from me, Ghengis Khan killed a bunch of people. Since I'm offended and your name reminds me of a brutal killer I'm going to remove your kids from  your home (if you have any) or take you away from your parents depending on your age.

Do you see were I am going with this?

Yeah I'm sure everyone in america has completely forgotten about Hitler and no-one ever studied WW2 in school.
I'm just going to wish good luck to you and leave this thread.

Majority of Americans don't care about WW2. We just don't.

But I guess winning by default is fine.

In my US History class this year and my Global History class last year atleast, WWII was always everyone's favorite subject.

Gawwad, this is a good example of the difference between a European perspective and an American one.  In general, Europeans trust government more than Americans do.  I don't think this sets a good precedent, but you apparently aren't even looking at the precedent.

Please try to calm your emotions on this one.

Yeah...  I think random letter combination guy is making the wrong assumption here.  We do care about WW2.  Hell, look at how much time the History Channel devotes to it.

The point is...  this isn't a matter of caring about WW2 or not.  It's a matter of how much you trust the government.

I still don't think Americans care about WW2 beyond it being an interesting subject. The only people still lighting candles over it are the Jews like Poseidon. Everyone else doesn't get mad over Nazi jokes. Can't use the Holocaust to guilt trip Americans forever.

A Holland Township man who has eight children with four women and named one of his sons after Nazi leader Adolf Hitler is going to be be a father again.

Heath Campbell, 40, and his fiancée Bethanie Rose Zito, 22, told NYDailyNews.com that they will find out the baby's gender next week. They already have two names lined up.

If they have a boy, a potential name being floated is "Rommel," after Erwin Rommel, a high-ranking German military official in World War II. The couple told the Daily News a girl would be named Eva Braun, after Hitler's longtime girlfriend who became his wife less than two days before they committed suicide.

Campbell said he would send Zito, who is 19 weeks pregnant to a Nazi compound in the southern United States so authorities can't take his child.

His four children with his third wife were removed from his custody. Their names are Adolf Hitler Campbell, 7; JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell, 6; Honzlynn Jeannie Campbell, 5; and 19-month-old Hons Heinrich.

Earlier this month Campbell and Zito showed up to a court hearing wearing a full Nazi uniform. He proposed to her Sunday in Easton, Pa.

I wish them luck. Rommel is a great name.
