I would have thought alcohol addiction is a bigger problem that pot addiction (if thats possible)Lotta_Drool wrote:
Pot is easier to get hooked on. No hang over and instant gratification like smoking a cig. I don't care what your chart says, the only reason more people don't smoke pot than drink is because it is illegal now.Turquoise wrote:

I honestly would rather deal with a person high on pot than drinking because they tend to alway be mellow and you don't get the " violent drunk " retards.
But, I would rather have Alcohol legal than Pot because Alchohol is more difficult to use and less likely to become addicted too.
Alcohol is a lot more addictive than pot.

Your version of common sense is very naive.Lotta_Drool wrote:

There are some people who get addicted to pot easier, but overall, a far higher percentage of users get addicted to alcohol than to pot. The prevalence of alcoholism pretty much defies your entire point here.
well, as for the addiction argument. many of my friends are cops and they find way more pot in cars and on people then they do alcohol. so explain why people would risk jail or whatever for some pot?
What are the laws in Amsterdam for Pot vs Alcohol and which is used more?m3thod wrote:

Let's put it this way, it's a shitty medication they gave you when you have panic attacks after getting married, and you become addicted so you can't stop taking it everyday, and Roche gets a lot of money thanks to it.m3thod wrote:

You'll find more people taking risks for some pot than for alcohol because you can legally get the later at a bar.usmarine wrote:

It's a matter of perception. If alcohol was illegal, then cops would find more of that. Why? Because contraband is profitable. I'm sure not all of these people were simply users. In fact, most of them were probably dealers -- that is, if the cops are interested enough in looking for pot on someone.usmarine wrote:

The point is... both alcohol and pot are high demand products, but only one of them is illegal and, as a result, much more valuable.
Profit is generally a stronger motivator in people than any addiction.
Why do you choose Alcohol over weed if both are legal?ghettoperson wrote:

I couldn't find anything on cannabis from the above link (Ctrl+F search for both cannabis and marijuana)....and these guys are champion potheads.
In fact the first death by cannabis in the UK was recorded in 2004 but his death was recoded as misadventure as he died while engaged in illegal activity. Dildo in his bunghole i bet.

You can't be a functional alcoholic. You can be a functional pothead (like me). I don't need to look up a study to answer that.
I can go to work, smoke all day long and get my shit done. If I were to drink all day long I would just sit on bf2s all day and shoot off one-liners.
