I have heard rumors that Obama is considering legalizing marijuanna as one way of getting us out of the economic crysis, putting a hurt on and taking money from drug cartels. We, imo should be taxing the stuff.

In South Australia it is legal to grow your own, you're allowed max two plants.

In practice:
Two plants carefully cultivated can easily fill an average house.
People 'growing their own' are generally indoor farmers for the drug gangs.

Sooner cultivation is made totally illegal the better IMO.

I guess I'll chime in properly.

Cannabis is a temporary pleasure that can be enjoyed safely. Much like a nice Whiskey, or a $90 steak. And much like both of those, once it is gone it's gone. No big deal.

Weed doesn't do anything to people. I know over 20 people that smoke it, and they have no addiction and they have never decided to "Oh I think I'll have a bag of crack today for a change please". I smoke it on and off, I had a 6 month break and it was easy. It's as big a deal as you make it.
