just in the process of downloading ef some of my mates have downloaded it,and are experiencing some severe lag one with a frame rate of only 11 fps on a decent system anyone else having difficulties or know how to resolve any

actually i get lag on the maps sometimes too....havent heard anyone else bring it up though so i thought it was just me...
I was getting the lag too at first. It was like the SF launch. It went away though. It maybe the server you pick. The levels do have a pretty high draw distance though. If you don't snipe at all you could turn it down a bit and, see if it changes anytthing. That's if you have an old card or low ram though.

just been playing ef om wall of china and i had no probs have you tried a program called fraps it will display your fps in the corner of your screen during gameplay something as simple as faulty sound cards can cause snags apparently
yeah could be a poss but i had no snags and i only have 1 g of ram and i play on notebook
Press the ~ key ingame and type the command below for average FPS. I never used it so I am guessing the [0,1] is the on/off switch. Meaning I think you use the 0 for off and 1 for on. So "renderer.drawFps 1" would be on and....well you get it. I tend to over explain. I could also (likely) be completely wrong and talking out of my arse. "shrug"

That explains why you could'nt seem to pilot the jet too well on the BF2s server, you always seemed to be ramming my tank with your jet lolThomasMorgan wrote:

No lag here, saw those jets coming straight for me, busted a gut laughing Good times
I've been getting bad lag, mainly on Smokescreen and Taraba with a little in the great wall.
Smokescreen becomes unplayable at times :-( usually have to quit out, I've tried various things like putting the graphics right down, shutting down any un-necessary programs but to no avail.
All the standard levels work out fine.
I hope it isn't a case of the graphics being upped in the EF levels thus demanding a new graphics card.
