In the chest.
He was behind his apartment investigating noise and confronted three men in ski masks. One of them asked him if he was gonna call the cops, and my friend replied, " why would I? " to which the guy said, " ya right ", and shot him. The bullet pierced his body and one third of his lung was removed. He will recover.

Now, this was three days ago. I didn't run to DST to commiserate about it until...three days go by and the police have not been to the hospital to get his statement. Al is mexican, and he told me he is in the hospital under an alias.

Could it be that this is proof that the cops don't give a shit about Mexicans?
I mean, they air lifted him out and he is in ICU with a through the body gunshot wound to the chest. Mind you, Pomona ( where it happened ) is a illegal alien infested shithole, but c'mon. It is not even being investigated, as far as we can tell so far.

All I know is above.

Al is hispanic, but a citizen. He is retired from Lockheed Martin and a second career @ Union Pacific railroad.

shooting are so common in pomona that if it isn't fatal it may not even make the news. this happened the same night i think and it was probably the same thugs that did it. lol @ comments

The police may investigate at a later time if doctors said he is unable to at the moment. But from the sounds of things he should be fine to give a statement.

I doubt the police would treat him differently due to him being Latino. Such a huge percentage of SoCal residents are latino, it would be impossible for police to escape notice for being racist. Heck, at least half the cops I know are Latino.
