I´ve searched everything but havent found this so far.

I´ve read that EF is aviable for purchase by ea-downloader earlier today. I went to the site (the german version) and created a account. No probs at all. Althought I dont own a creditcard, I choose direct debit for payment. No probs at all. I was redirected back to the ea-downloader site and installed it. When I tried to login I got a message that my accountname and passwort arent valid. I tried to use the searchoption and got my accountinformation (pw, loginname) as email. I´ve tried again, and the error appears once more.

I´ve tried to use the accountname I´ve created when I have installed BF2 the first time and suddenly I was able to login. At least at the downloader there was no possibility for a EF download. So I went back to the EA-Site, the same procedure as before, logged in witch my BF2-Accountname and after selecting the payment once again I was able to start the download.

At the moment it´s still working but I guess I´ve payed two times for EF now? One witch my first created accountand the other one with my BF2-Account?!

I dont have any ideas how I could contact EA germany, because they redirected my to the ea.de site and I should check my accountdetails. But there isn´t such a button or option.

Sry, I dont want to whine about the 10 Bucks, but I think this isn´t the best customerservice.

Complaining about complaining. Hmm. Well the is the complant section but, you are being a troll. I get sick of people that think they are some part owner of the forum and, think they have the right to dictate and insult others for legitamate post. Troll somewhere else. Contact EA not "us". You aren't "us". "Us" is Chuy, Afrojap, Sgt, Ghost, ect. Not you. If you can't contribute why waste your time and, forum space?


Now on to the downloader.

It's crap. How can EA make a Win2k compatable game then make products for it only available to XP user. EA could of course put it on Direct to Drive but, that would make things to easy. It is being released on CD in europe too. Not for the US though. I never really had a problem with any of their products before but, this feel like extortion. If I don't by XP to get EF I will be constantly getting booted everytime an EF map appears. Way to go EA. Kudos to you.

What about you? Are you the 1337-Bf2s.com-Adimn? Forgive me for my ignorance I´ve thought it is chuy.

If you dont have usefull ideas you mustnt post or read anything! Where the fuck is here whine about the price, whine about the patch or whine about the downloader? I´ve only posted my xp with the download today and asked for help because if´ve payed the boosterpack twice (capice? 20 Bucks insteed 10 Bucks, but only get one EF)

I´ve already contacted EA, but they has no answers and I´ll guess they wouldnt give me back my money (once again for you, I´ve payed 10 Bucks to much)!

I dont know how it´s about you if you spend money for something and dont get it as ordered. So please post your glorious flame anywhere else. Thanks.

I cant log in on EA Downloader atm . I get "could not connect to the server. Please try again later."

Nevermind im an idiot, I forgot i had PeerGuardian on since last night. Downloading now .

I downloaded, installed, did the whole thing...then I try to join a server playing an EF map, and it gives me some shit like "You must have Battlefield 2 Euro Force to play on this server. To buy EF click the link below....blah blah"

WHAT THE FUCK?! I JUST BOUGHT AND INSTALLED THE DAMN THING, WHY WON'T IT WORK?!

I just downloaded the sorry ass installer and got it up and running and the motherfucker wont let me DL Euro Forces.  Says some stupid shit about it coming out in 1074 days, but the right side says it was released in january!!!!

If you are having issues with the EA Downloader try writing a calm and literate email to *gasp* EA explaining what your problem is. They are the only ones with the power to fix your problems, there is nothing anyone here is going to be able to do for you.

i got euro force now ,BUT for $10 / £5.99 you only get 3 new maps , no cool new intro movie or whatever the euro force runs in the original BF2, the maps are just added to the old maps list ...WTF rip off

Sorry, of course your right, but isn´t a forum for sharing probs and issues with other communitymembers? Sometimes some of the issues have been solved by posting it here. Nobody here will be able to give me the money back or something, for shure and this isn´t what this thread is about. I´ve only tried to post my xp with the downloader and as I read between the lines I´m not the only one who has some issues with it. I cant find anything wrong or inappropriate in my post, please correct me if I´m wrong.

Anyway I will write a email to EA.de

I saw nothing wrong with your posts, and never mentioned specific names.

I am all for open discussion, but twenty cuss words in all caps is not a discussion. We have complaint sections for a reason, to let people blow off some steam, but I think people should be more constructive in their complaints. Posts filled with needless swearing and 99% capitalized letters are not constructive in the least, and will do nothing to help the posters or other members on the forums.

but no patch's are listed, no euro no nothing. just

4 VIDEO GAME for xbox videos!!! wtf?

my bank statement says the 10 dollor charge went through

i created a gamespy id also im lost.

I had the same issue last night when I tried to download it.  You need to make sure that your Gamespy ID is the exact same as your BF2 account name.  I had my GS Id as Husker~ifh~ but my BF2 Id is Husker_ifh.  As soon as I changed the GS id back to Husker_ifh, logged off the downloader, closed it out, and then refired it up and logged back it, my downloads showed up.  So, give that a try, may yield you the same results, hopefully...

Hi all!

I have also a problem with the download it says that i have to have a Gamespy account. The support over here in sweden said that i have one when i bought the original BF2 game. So in my case is that account the same as i use when i login to play on BF2? or how do i check my Gamespy account and do that account cost any money?

I'm not sure I agree with this. By posting on forums people share the understanding that they have gained in fixing these issues with a wide audience. This means that many less people should have to contact EA or at least be better informed when they do.

I have a problem whereby the downloader crashes when it starts up. It's not the 'core' issue but from reading forums I would know what to do if it were. Having tried forums I am going to get back on to EA. This is the same issue I had when I tried it for SF and it was not resolved by them that time. I had hoped that whatever problem there was had been fixed by now but it seems not, and this time I can't just go into town and but a disc.

The downloader is a great idea and I know I'm in the minority of people who have this issue (otherwise there would be some forum posts about it). What I think stinks to high heaven is that I have to pay for the game first and can't even download it. EA should be sending me a URL or something while trying to sort this issue. Franklly it's embarasing being a community/clan leader who can't even play on one of his own servers cos of this.

If anyone DOES know about a fix for a bug in EA downloader where it crashes out please let me (and anyone else who reads this) know.
