I keep jumping to desktop. FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Euroforce map loads, the spawn screen appears then I get kicked to desktop and have to run BF2 again. WTF! Help anyone.

Umm there are a lot of people getting the "you changed the name 3 times already wait a week error". What are people trying to do, change the ingame name or something?I did not think you can do that. Some people are saying that you gamespy name is your BF2 online name, right? So my online name is "|c1234SnobbyBoss" so my GameSpy nick would be "Ic1234SnobbyBoss" right?

Can it be copied to a cd then put on a PC with Win2k. I don't see how they can make sense out of making a Win2k compatible game then make expansions for it that are only available to XP users. This whole "need XP' crap is lame. It will be in store in Europe. Why not here. Just a slap in the face from EA to us US players. Now I have to spend 80 bucks to play 3 maps. Bull$h!t.

My guess is that if I or any one else set their gamespy ID in the EA downloader to your gamespy ID, you'd be able to play even if you only downloaded it/had the files.

I think the games you pay for are kept locally within the EA downloader as well as on your EA account in the event you uninstall EA downloader, but regardless you cant use it with more than one account at any one time anyway.. so even if someone does put up the raw download, you'd still need to have a friend let you 'borrow' some play time, he/she just wouldnt be able to play on the new maps while your GS ID is in their.

The GAMESPY account, is the same as MY BF2-online account, right??.. So It should work with my "Log-on" bf2 nick... Or....?

I got the same error I hit the back button I found that the end of my street address is "DR."
well I just took the period out of it "DR" and then it worked. I guess it does not like periods or dashs.

that's weird.

...umm where do you live? it might be released later in some parts of the world though that much later is not very likely.
have you tried re-installing the EA downloader or logging out and in again?

the fact that it sais the release date is 1st of July is weird but the fact that it's not 208 days until 1st July is even more weird unless the clock of your computer is wrong
try setting the time of your computer to after the release date and see if it'll let you have it... sounds stupid but it might work.

Question? I have 3 pcs that I play on. Will I have to D/L 3 Euro Forces booster packs? And pay $30? Will they(various friends) be able to play with their profiles on my pc? Sound dumb I know but this whole gamespy thing is cunfusing!

you buy it once, log in through the EA downloader on each computer and download it trice.
As I've understood it, you can only play with the bf2 profile you fill in as connected to the EA downloader account but you can change which bf2 profile that is through the EA downloader. You'll have to do that each time someone else is gonna play. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The gamespy thing is confusing because EA wrote gamespy name or something instead of bf2 name. Forget gamespy, in fact, your bf2 account that you're logging in to each time you're gonna play is the gamespy account they're talking about.

OK, so how did you sort it out. I got the same thing, except i dont even get to the map loading part. Worse than that, i cant uninstall the damn games!! The uninstall crashes too!! I know someone out there knows what to do. Please help.

So ... has someone come out with a tool yet to quickly swap the associated gamespy account under the EA login. Where I usually play there are 3-5 PCs running BF2 and playing online. We often sit on someone else's PC, log in and start playing under our own names.

EA must be testing us to see just how much bullshit we're prepared to go through just to play a stupid game. (even if is one of the most enjoyable ever).

OK finally its released, downloaded it, {I downloaded sf as well when it came out} my freind didnt.
I had to change my gamespy name to my bf2 name, guess you have to enter the game thru the downloader?
I entered thru an ip and was fine, cant see the maps I guess if you enter thru the bf2 icon.
A lot of extra drama to play 3 maps, maps played good.
I wonder why they made it so hard, I can hear the complaining from around the world allready.
My buddy on the other hand who bought sf in the store, downloaded the ea downloader then it downloaded his ef for free without it asking for anything, lucky basterd... As far as I'm concerned they owe him it for all the frustration they've caused everyone again.

My only question is how hard is it to make the game play under one icon ffs.

Btw the spawn on leader bug is still in the game, & ofcourse a few others that i didnt bother remember.

once again kool maps, but the drama with it should be cause for us to be paid $10.

Go into the options in the EA downloader and change your nick to the account name in BF2. As in the name you use to play BF2.

Because people haven't gotten the clue yet on the playing Euro Forces with different IDs...

You buy the game with your EA account login. This login is attached to your BF2 Login. Whenever you log into the game to play Euro Forces you use your BF2 Login right? Well as long as you have bought the game it will recognized that you have and then give you access to play Euro Forces. I do not believe it matters which computer you play on. As long as Euro Forces is installed on that computer and as long as your BF2 Login is registered to have bought Euro Forces.. it should work. However it should probably be tested out to make certain it works. Anyone who has bought Euro Forces with a friend who has also bought Euro Forces and comes over to their house can test this out by attempting to login to the computer and see if both accounts work.

Try this test and see if it works and then post here if it works or not.
