Yeah one rule for one, one rule of the other. Fuckin DUP & UUP are never off our TVs saying they won't devolve policing and Justice because the IRA army council hasn't been disbanded long enough. While you never hear a peep out of them when it comes to loyalist paramilitaries who are still armed to the teeth. Still carrying out punishments, still dealing drugs, still extorting their own ppl.

Our Assembly was down for months there because Sinn Fien wouldn't meet until the Saint Andrews agreement was fully implemented. ie devolution of police and Justice powers. In times of tough economic problems the country was going ape shit, Republicans included. Because, the DUP were blaming the Sinners for blocking the Stormount meetings where they were to ratify a fuel poverty Bill, New Planning laws etc holding the country back.

I personally was one of the Republican's screaming at Sinn Fein to meet. (Personally the new planning laws opened up more work which I am desperately in need off) but now looking back they where right. When Justice and Policing is devolved and Republicans have a say then maybe a tougher line will be applied to the Loyalist groups instead of this British messing about.

Personally I think the Loyalist have one over on the British and are dictating their own timetable and getting away with it. The British army and RUC have colluded with loyalist death squads. Its now an established fact. Imagine how many other cases of collusion with the British forces the Loyalists paramilitaries have under their belt to whip out if they don't get their way. Whole thing stinks tbh.

WTF do you guys expect? You rebelled and waged war on the UK. You think you're going to get fair treatment?


It might be hypocrisy, but it's the way the world works. After all, the IRA are rebels who tried to 'free' Northern Ireland. Since when were they ever going to get fair treatment from the government they attacked.

No idea, maybe it's a feeble attempt by a group of men to revive a war which made them relevant and gave them a purpose. Maybe they are the last of a dying breed of extremists who sense the death of their perspective and philosophy and wish to enflame things again to ensure future generations will share their opinions and ideas.

I didn't say any of it makes sense. I just said that the IRA can hardly expect a fair go from a government who they were at war with.
