why are we surprised to see a call of duty 6 in production? did anyone think it wouldn't happen?
CoD5 was out in the fall
and...
CoD6 will be out in the fall!
omg
Not a good thing.
Time spent in development does not always translate into greatness.Miggle wrote:

keep in mind that 5 and 6 will use the same engine as 4, greatly reducing the dev time needed.

This could turn out really well if they go for a WWIII scenario this time. Could still have those moments, I mean hell, its WWIII, you can fool around with the extinction of the human race. Course, if they decide to pick up where CoD4 left off....this might not be as good.
The fuck are you guys talking about.
CoD4 was awesome.
I still replay SP every once in awhile to relive the epicness.

5 was made by a different company. So really Infinity Ward has had 2 years to create this game.

Unless they make some truly awesome additions(shitloads of vehicles, new or at least heavily improved engine), not really interested. I wasn't going to buy CoD5, but now I feel like I got burned for getting it, even though I now know it was made by one of the worst game companies in the business.

This one will be just as horrid as the last two.
Also, i don't get how they could be working on WaW before CoD4 considering that WaW rehashes 95% of Cod's terrible gameplay.

As well as being the most terrible game designers know to man, Treyarch can see the future!@!#Jestar wrote:

Pity they cant see far enough to the day they go bankrupt for being shit.
Indeed. The most fucking great epic enjoying singleplayer campaign fucking ever bitches!!DefCon-17 wrote:

Multiplayer is moderate to be fair. I enjoyed it for a year straight and still do. Not as deep as battlefield, but still fairly nice.
If MW2 is just half as good it still rocks. And if IW is creating it rather than Failarch chances are good it´s going to be even better.
Take that back asshat.TimmmmaaaaH wrote:

Spiderman 2 was one of the best movie-game adaptions ever made. It were good ffs. Especially the spiderman swinging stuff. One of the best games ever for a sense of weight and momentum. Especially in the later stages when you had all the controls mastered. Most awesome superhero games I've played.
Also, Call Of Duty 4's single player was awesome, if WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too short but the brilliant challenge and balance of CoD1/CoD2's multiplayer along with it's excellent map design is almost gone from the CoD series. I can think of a few of CoD4's mp maps that were brilliant, but not like the plethora of awesomeness that was CoD2's.
It will not come back. I miss the days when Infinity Ward had deep, challenging game mechanics. They've scrapped them in favour of 'Summer blockbuster' gaming.
At least Epic has some depth to Gears. CoD is all about being rambo now.

Whoa... Can't believe these forums are still kicking.
Thats what I hate about game developers/publishers. They release a game and 1 month later they announce they are already working on the sequel when the game they already released is buggy as shit.
Makes you feel all warm inside knowing they are working on a fix, but instead they are working on the next piece of buggy shit.

Honestly what could they add to it to make it unique. I suppose they could add vehicles like it was in WaW, but weapons? They've already did the main ones in CoD4. I guess we'll end up seeing niche weapons now etc.. but like someone already said, everyone will just use the same easy CoD4 weapons anyway. Basically the M4. Hopefully the weapons will feel/have recoil more like the ones in WaW, where it actually takes some skill to use a spray weapon on someone at medium/long range. Proper recoil modelling and proper damage/distance modelling like there is to some extent in WaW.
Also, What I'm hoping for is some Midnight Club/NFS:U thrown into the gun customisation. More unique parts for every gun instead of the old "generic RDS for first unlock, generic Silencer for second" instead you would have "Aimpoint CompM2 for M4" and "SUSAT for SA80/L85A2" etc..
Bring in some of those brand names. Get some licences in there. That would spice things up more.
But the main thing I'm hoping for is that I will have an uber PC by the time it comes out, so I can play the game on PC instead of PS3 (although the CoD series actually works quite nicely on consoles/PS3, but nothing beats playing FPS games on a high end PC)

The funny thing is that all you sandy vagina whiny bitches will still buy it. Shut up and have fun; COD4 was damn good, and this will probably be as well.
They'll probably just re-release CoD4 multiplayer with a new story.
And still get Game of the Year..

i'm saying that firebolt probably thinks that development of W@W started before MW, which is most likely not the caseMiggle wrote:

afaik they were working on it while cod4 was being worked on, but yeah, it's success was entirely due to cod4.

Hum... crappy game which did well on consoles gets made into yearly shovelware. Well this is a complete surprise I wonder why activision would do such a thing. *plays guitar hero #1783*
