BF2 beats 2142. i played over friends house BF2142, and it tasted really stale. look at how large the BF2 community is than BF2142.

Some people don't understand the potential for bf2142. With the walkers and hovercraft already coded in the game you could make awesome Sci-Fi mods.

Yea i'm going for another few rounds tonight in 2142. I've got a few NS unlocks to boot. I've also started doing commander stuff as well but find that a lot of people won't listen to you not matter what.
What really annoys me is all the fuckers who make/join squads with no orders...I spend ages trying to invite people but so many don't get it
I dont like bf2142 much because its sci-fi fps. For me shooting with ak-101 is something different than shooting with some unknown scifi weapon. Not only weapons, but also environment is in bf2 more friendly.
I can play bf2142 max. 2 hours, but I can spend whole day with bf2 and it still dont become boring.

I'd be playing it now if it weren't for my stupid ISP constantly dropping any time I even hint at using my connection.
I personally think if they remade BF2 using some of BF2142's improvements I would jump on it and play it but I just can't stand the patchs for BF2 so horrible.

Bf2142 started off as an awsome game that only crashed head first. Bf2 will always be better than 2142
The only thing worth doing in 2142 now is going on a moving titan server and raging with the "see 3 of 4 consoles" glitch.
The only reason I prefer 2142 over BF2 is because it's newer, and no jets (although the gunships can be just as annoying)
All the problems of BF2 exist in 2142 and vice versa.
People claim there's teamwork in both game, but in fact it's pretty rare. Every server I've ever played on I've either joined squads or made one, nd every time people don't stick together/follow orders.
Glitchers and hackers - exist in both games.
Noobs and idiots - exist in both games.
It's been a while but I'm pretty sure RDX/C4 jumpers exist in both games. I know bunny hoppers and dolphin divers exist in both games.
C4/RDX rammers - exist in both games.
Commanders that suck/don't command - exist in both games
Baserapers - exist in both games
The only thing I hate about 2142 is the pilum seems to be over power and thus, over used. I mean every time I get in a tank I get that stupid beeping sound 5 seconds later and get destroyed in one shot even if my shields are up. When I do manage to see the person trying to shoot me they just bunny hop around.

Try a 24/7 Shingle server. Its a lot of fun.
Last time i played Pillum doesn't give of a sound of a lock on and it cant go through the shield. You might be talking about rollermines, a bitch but just look around and if you hear the beeping just jump out and let some other noob fall for it.Dex Luther wrote:

Pillum is just a pure rocket not guideable and does more damage, thou it can kill you in one hit if you hit the engine on the tank.
If they keep jumping just fire at the ground if you can and they will get a damn boost in their jump to heaven.
RDX/C4 jumpers are on servers where FF is off, otherwise its not so good tactic.
