Freezer i could join your meganote book club. I have a HP Pavilion zd8000 from 2005. It has an inefficient P4 and only has 45mins of battery life.
And oh your my new idol cause you upgraded your meganote book.

And my meganote has like 10 minutes of battery life now Stupid Li-Ion, wearing out so fast.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

Freezer do you think you can help me find a gfx card for my lappy with a little more power. I have a ATI mobility radeon x600 and it doesn't even have a temperature sensor. I just want to give my lappy a little more life...

What kind of machine is it? Not many laptops actually have MXM.

I have a 17" laptop and recently purchased a 14" laptop and I am a fan. I've had a 13" in the past and it was too small and the 15.4" seems too big (It's a heavy p.o.s. may as well carry around my 17") but just like goldie lox this 14" one is just right

You want to format USB disk drive? Just plug it in in the USB port, in "My Computer" right click it and choose format.

No no no lol

I meant.

In order to reformat the laptop hard drive, will I need to buy a USB Disk Drive to put the Xp disc into?

Yes.

There are a lot of guides to setting up a USB drive as a bootable USB disk for Windows to run from.

i am not entirely sure how to use a USB drive as an install disc.

If someone does, please post, because there are 9,000,000 websites showing you how to boot a stripped down XP from a USB drive but I have yet to see one that shows you how to do a complete reinstall of windows with nothing but a USB drive.

I've used a USB drive to boot when my CD Drive wouldn't let me boot from it but I had a windows CD to install from I just needed to run it somehow. Again, I don't know how to reformat/reinstall with no CD drive

Where did you get that distro? I saw my database professor using it today and I've been searching under the name "mormo" (what was on the screen) and I've had no luck!

OK ... I need to look into seeing if I can run this off the second SSD in my 900 or a USB drive because this is very intriguing. The second Wiki mentioned that it was built for Intel Atom, but I've got the Celeron. Hm. Gonna have to look into this at a later date.
