Should we actually try not to prevent it. Instead just let mankind do their daily routine in whatever they need to get done and scientifically progress without limitations, and not spend billions, maybe trillions, on preventing this. We can also use the money to go into other kinds of more beneficial research.

I think we should.

Please discuss, I am curious of your current views on this subject.

Not just aids/cures, but all fields. I hate passing billions towards African AID relief programs as well. But I am getting across as a point if it should not be spent at all or put into all fields of science. Considering that global warming gives us better conditions than cold starvations, and it fluctuates and not man made.

He also said that the massive Ice age would happen in 10000-100000 years. Man made climate change will affect us in the next 100 years.

There are many other benefits from getting power from clean energy. Good for jobs and economy. Coal fired power plants emit more uranium into the air than nuclear power plants. Not to mention mercury etc. New computer models show that global warming is so rapid that it cant be caused by natural fluctuations.
We are going to run out of Fossil fuels anyway so why not develop alternative energy sources.

If you don't mind the world population dropping by a factor of, say 10-100 over one or two generations, go ahead with letting global warming happen.

Given that fossil fuels will run out in our lifetime its a no-brainer to get on and develop alternatives even if global warming is bunk.
Sooner rather than later and two problems solved in one go.

Simple facts...

Fossil fuels are going to run out eventually, alternatives need to be developed.

Pumping pollution into the environment is not good, it might not be as bad as some of the doom and gloom scientists are saying but it is still not good - I don't think anyone can argue with that. If we can curb our levels of pollution then we should but we should do it wisely and not just throw millions into badly thought out programs.

Putting your head in the ground like an ostrich will solve fuck all.

b) Global warming can give disasterous contitions, most of the regions around the equator will be wiped out as will the large number of low lying human settlements as land based ice sources melt. The rest will experience a wide range of unexpectedly changeing weather patterns which will cause widespread damage to local plants/animals that aren't adapted to the new conditions.
c) The costs that climate change could create vastly outweigh the money that we are putting into it.

well, i they showed on 60 minutes on sunday where recycling (electronic)(material from the US) is actually killing people in china. its a black market now.

so, your cell phone is most likely giving kids lead poisoning in china when you recycle it. yay!
