So that is what I have so far I am going to keep my Blu ray drive my DVD drive and my HDD from my current computer and place it in this one.

The thing I am a bit confused about is which Graphics card to get along with this I was thinking ither a 9800 GT 1gb or an HD 4850 512mb but I have no Idea, the HD 4850 has 800 STREAM PROCESSORS while the 9800 has only 112 but I am not sure if the 512 mb would be enough t. run (DX 10) Games and a second monitor(HDTV) at 1680x1050 & 1366x768 so any Ideas? and also is the Mother board satisfactory or is there a better one for about the same price(with PCI-E 2.0)? one last thing 4 GB of DDR2 as I have in the picture or should I get 2GB of DDR 3?

I suggest the 4850, its got 800 STREAM PROCESSORS, not Pixel Pipes.
Also, the 512mb Ram is fine with the 1680x1050 I believe. Just don't expect crazy high AA and FSAA.
A P5Q perhaps, but it's a bit more expensive.

4850 is better than the 9800. You dont need a 1gb card unless you have a monitor the size of your wall. And go with some fast DDR2

Depends on what you want to spend on for a GFX card.  I picked up a 9800GT off NewEgg for $130...4850 is bit more pricey, but outperforms.  I think the 4830 compares more to the 9800GT...

4850, some P5Q mobo that fits your budget (And throw that ASSRock somewhere dark). And go with DDR2, 3 is vastly overpriced for the moment.
The idea of any hi-fi system is to reproduce the source material as faithfully as possible, and to deliberately add distortion to everything you hear (due to amplifier deficiencies) because it sounds 'nice' is simply not high fidelity. If that is what you want to hear then there is no problem with that, but by adding so much additional material (by way of harmonics and intermodulation) you have a tailored sound system, not a hi-fi. - Rod Elliot, ESP

New line of Intel processors due out in a week or so.

They are going to be much more expensive though, due mainly to the requirement of a new socket motherboard and DDR3 RAM (3 DIMM's optimally).

And also the fact they are the "enthusiast" ones, ie. $500+

Cheaper ones are due Q3 2009 I think.

Hmmm, I just read an aritcle by MaximumPC that detailed three versions of the i7 that were going to be available at launch. The cheapest one was about $300 US. But even if that is too much for your budget, the introduction of the i7 processor should drive down prices for the Core Duos. So even if you won't get an i7 you will save money by waiting just a bit longer

Yes hold out on i7 for a while.  I believe they are due to hit the market this week.  I think.  So Core 2 may drop in price. . .
