Ragin!!!!! this poor sorry excuse of a country I live in sometimes causes me to seriously despair. There is a spate of tit-for-tat attacks going on, on Orange Order Halls (place where sectarian anti-Catholic Loyalist organisation meet) and GAA club houses (non sectarian all Ireland sporting organisation). Our recently refurbished - after much community fundraising £160K club house & pitch was burnt down by Loyalists last night. When will the hateful cunts on both sides realise that an eye for an eye just leaves everyone blind? GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.. Temperature rising here all the time
Ouch...
You'd think that this sort of shit wouldn't happen in a 21st century developed western nation, that's some stupid shit right there.
Got any article links?

Sorry to hear that.
In your local opinion, can you really see it all kicking off again? Although this doesnt make for good reading.

Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.
Was reading about that on the news. Bunch of hateful cunts. You are correct in your OP comments regarding sectarianism... the Orange order is an inherently sectarian institution while the GAA, despite having an obvious Nationalist bias, is not inherently a sectarian organisation.
I've always said I have no problem with anyone of any religion on this island... but I don't have a lot time for Orangemen.

No I don't think so, I think the majority can see that the extremists on both sides have nothing to offer only the same old same old. The state as it was no longer exists in N.I. New Loyalist organisations like TUV which is attracting anti agreement unionists are still a micro party as is the same with "dissidents" on the Republican sides. On the whole if the current arrangement fails Unionists have more to loose in terms of involvement from direct rule from Dublin & Republicans have more to gain ensuring that the current power sharing arrangement works, or, it all bogs down in stalemate until someone is prepared to blink..Switch wrote:

Yeah I'm pulling a usmarine and taking it 2 steps too far.
Well in actuality he chose to die himself, it was his own decision to go on hunger strike and his own decision to follow it through to the end. Quotes don't usually possess the power to bequeath immortality onto those that say them so this particular quote was never likely to save his life.jord wrote:

an alarming devolopment -
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/7729262.stmPolice are investigating reports of an explosion at an Orange hall in Pomeroy, County Tyrone.
UUP MLA for the area Billy Armstrong said substantial damage had been caused to the hall at Pomeroy Road.
"At 2023 an explosion took place in this hall - the windows were blown out and the roof was lifted," he said.
Officers have appealed for anyone who was the Pomeroy Road area late on Thursday night or early on Friday morning to contact them.
The incident was reported to police at 0830 GMT on Friday.
The Pomeroy Road has been closed and diversions are in place
Shit this is getting out of hand, I ended up a couple of hundred meters from a bomb yesterday (first time in decades), only they don't call them bombs as that wouldn't go well with the peace process, they call them "viable devices" - Brit bomb squad dealt with it, no one injured thank frig. some people need to seriously wise-the-fuck up ASAP!!!
There have been shitloads of viable devices in Dublin in the last few months... I was beginning to wonder if a new Provo movement was on the rise, probably just drug gangs though.IG-Calibre wrote:

I'd be very sceptical of media coverage on what's actually going on in the North at the moment, like you say they are cautious not to rock the peace process boat with careless talk of 'bombs' or 'trouble'. Hope things don't get out of hand.
