Apparently in normal Austrian grocery stores you can't buy vanilla extract or chocolate chips, so I had to improvise ... used vanilla sugar and Milka brand chocolate (which, I think, is an upgrade)

Both. Two of the batches are more chewy than the other. But those huge ones on the plate are real chewy.
