What kind of changes are you hoping for, with Obama in office, and a Democratic House of Representatives and Senate? What do you think or hope will happen with the US and the world to make it a better place and life more worth living?

I hope Obama does something so absolutely appalling that it teaches the American people that they cannot sit back and let the political winds take them. I want the other party to fuck up to bring vigilance and cynicism back to the American people.

It's a pity Presidents have to be scapegoats at the moment, Bush and Obama, but if in the long run it makes people understand that even if the President is in it for truly altruistic motives (yeah right), they are only human and they can't satisfy everyone.

America won't leave Iraq anytime soon. When will you guys get it. No matter who the President is we're still in Iraq for a while.

And anything is better then the Bush Administration or past 8 years.

Do not assume that it will automatically be better, or use better criteria. What will be better?

The Economy: unemployment go down? Stock market go up?
Energy: Drill for Oil? More or ban Nuclear power plants? Build gigantic solar collection satalite?
International relations: More countries like America again?
Middle East: Leave Iraq? More Stable? Peace in Isreal?
Taxes: higher or lower, and for who?
Social Security: Fixed?
Health Care? Reform? National Health Care?
Border Security? Border wall? Amnesty?
International Treaties? Kyoto? NAFTA? SALT2?

you get the idea. What (in particular) do you think will change, and will it benifit just you, or society as a whole? Will it benifit the US, or will it be an American sacrifice to make the rest of the world better?

well considering he isn't even president yet (only president-elect) it's not like he can snap his hands and make tuition cheaper... yet

He had time in the Illinois senate to do something if he was such a "champion of change". Heck I entered a year after he left the Illinois senate. That all said, I'm glad he's el presidente-elect and not McCain. I don't think he'll shake things up as much as people are thinkin though.
