I'd say, because Blacks are a minority, it's understandable that 90% or more would vote for him, even if he's just half black. You could call Obama white as much as you could call him black.
Let's take a country like South Africa for example, now if they had two candidates running for President (or Prime Minister, whatever system they use their) and one of them was white or half white and the other was full black. Who do you think the minority White population would vote for? Because they're a minority, it's
almost only natural that they'd vote for the white(r) guy more or less. Ok, maybe South Africa is a bad example considering their history, but It was just an example
Especially if the minority has been established in the country for a long time (as long as the country has existed) and have been persecuted for a long part of time in the countries history (and a large amount still feel they are), it only makes the race thing for them that much stronger. It's actually quite easy to understand, does that make them racist? Yes, in a way, it does. Is it more understandable that they're doing it? Yes it is.
I suppose if Obama wins, you guys that are constantly pissed off at Black people/Minorities can finally say "hey, look, you have one of your own in the White house, so no more complaining" or you guys would probably say "they're taking over"
Like the double standard when an effigy of Sarah Palin being hung by a gay couple in California vs. an effigy of Obama being hung by some college students on a College campus?
Palin wasn't being hung for the simple matter of what race she belonged to. Infact, your sentence doesn't even make sense. You haven't said why Palin was being hung and you haven't said why Obama was either. You're automatically trying to make it assume that they were hanging Obama because he wasn't White and whoever did it was racist and that the gay couple hung her effigy because of gay issues. Typical crappy journalism you're doing here.
Also, who said it was all acceptable anyway? Who said it was that anyway? Maybe there's some media bias when it comes to racism against Whites, but in reality I don't think there is as much. Or maybe you just want to think it's acceptable so that you can view your own views as acceptable aswell.
