I don't know what to say. After more than six years I guess one could say it's about time.

I would refer people to the U.S. economy. Machinist making parts for planes and munitions companies are doing great, but the real economy can't seem to support endless billions on the wacky Islamic ass kicking adventures.

You can't put that down to whatever you want, but I don't think the US should be antagonizing the situation there after what has happened in Pakistan.

Syria will do less than they did when the Israelis flew over 2/3 of their country and bombed the shit out of their nuke facility. We went just over the border and took out facilities that were facilitating foreign fighters getting into Iraq to maim and kill Coalition forces and Iraqi civilians.

Not all of Syria's (or the US's) policy decisions in the ME are (or will be) hinged on this one incident. It won't prevent Asad from talking with Israel. It won't prevent Syria from establishing diplomatic ties with Lebanon (which it still dominates both politically and militarily, though not directly). And clearly they haven't done enough to stem the flow of militants into Iraq, or the action wouldn't have been needed.
