I think this is very pro-war and it gives a damn good reason for it.

BS. . . The only reason your boys are in Iraq is to secure the oilfields and to make a nice profit for Halliburton and other warprofiteers.elite.mafia wrote:

Funny you mention because here in Ingerland, there's never anything showing about actual oil being pulled specifically by those who led the invasion. Like I've said before, if it were all about stealing oil, they wouldn't have gone into the cities and would have just held the oil fields.usmarine wrote:

This war was a waste of time, money, lives and resources.
The politics of george Bush have been war, fear, paranioa and chaos.
Sure, defend a clown who makes war on a country that had nothing to do with 9-11 and not count the costs in the budget.
All that being said, we don't just leave. We recoup our costs by seizing their oil fields until this is done. Nationalize their industry until we get all our money back.
Like that's gonna happen.

GS brings his service into everything and acts like it somehow makes him instantly right and his opinion more valid than someone who didn't serve. Not much difference than what this guy is doing in the video but since he lost his leg he has one upped GS and his point is even more valid. I get quite offended seeing people do this.Braddock wrote:
Nice, use an amputee soldier to garner support for the McCain campaign... nice touch how they kept his missing leg for the denouement towards the end of the video.
Although this soldier's opinion is entirely valid (obviously) the style and tone of the video is very cynical. God Save The Queen supports Obama but he hasn't suffered the loss of a limb and subsequently made a video about his personal political opinions, does that mean his opinion doesn't count as much? All these videos do is bolster the opinions of those who have already made their mind on these issues.

You don't think Obama has adds like this? Hell, look as GS's avatar.Poseidon wrote:

To be fair I don't think McCain himself had anything to do with that video... not according to the blurb on YouTube at least.Poseidon wrote:

That's assuming the McCain campaign even funded/approved/had anything to do with the ad.Poseidon wrote:

I thought liberals were too busy burning flags? God damn tree-huggers.Lotta_Drool wrote:
I really hate people who don't put any thought into something, yet are willing to spout off about it and condemn others who don't agree while wrapping themselves up in a flag. I would expect this type of shit more from the liberals.
