Its a business, that's not even a ploy... Businesses improve them self to appeal to more customers so they can make money, its no secret... Its the whole point, and I doubt they are trying to hide or deny that.

I read somewhere that Microsoft is thinking about making Xbox live free in the near future to combat PS3 online. No I am not trying to start a flame war because I don't own ether counsel.
Well xbox live is shut down. I was playing ncaa09 with one of my buddies and it shut down. I was mad because I ran a td off a kick off return and intercepted the ball and ran for 70+yards. I'm not sure any acheivements that you gain when it is shut down will upload to the server when it's back online. We played a couple good games though and I had fun. I had a huge buzz going though which made me loose one game 16/35 lol oh well better luck next time.
