I am a professional video/audio editor and I've got a lul right now, and I've been banging my head on, this one project, but I want to do some fun stuff as well, so please contact me if you want someone to do some editing.  I also have professional audio recording equipment if you want some done.  I have some particle FX programs as well, that allow me to improve/simulate several effects.

I do not however have a capture software for capturing video.  You could either send me pre-capped files, or (depending on the cost and rez you require I could possibly purchase the software with which to do it.)  There's always the "tape the screen" method too

just let me know (looking at more large scale projects, but not really all that picky - just nice to get the creative juices going on something that's not work once and a while

Two questions:

1.) Can you zoom/magnify the video to a certain coord, as in say, zooming to the upper left portion of the screen (like where the text shows in BF2),

2.) Can you slow-mo certain parts?

3.) Do you know of a good way to record BF2? I got 512 ram, 256 6800 Nividia GT Overclocked, and a crappy IDE 76k rpm HD so capture software is really bad. It has a S-video output though, but getting it on video tape (Dont got a dvd recorder or anything) would kinda be useless..


Oh, I got a question, if I had another PC with S-Video out graphics card on it, is there a way to have the graphics card accept INPUT, as in, channeling the out data from this pc, to another, and then capturing it on the other pc?

1 - depends on the resolution you capture at and the resolution you're outputting at, not to mention the editing software that you are using.  However it can be done.

2 - NP, however the software itself does that in the battlerecorder section better than it would look on (more than likely) a video slowed down.

3- for you, I'd suggest an S-Vid out, into a DV camcorder (gonna need some way of inputting the feed to the camcorder) and then record on to the tape, then recap via firewire.  If you had a second computer that could accept the S-Vid that could also capture that feed, that would possibly work too, however quality is sacrificed when converting the high resolution of the game to the relatively low rez of SD television feeds that S-Video utilizes.

I forgot, I know someone with a digital cam corder, so how do I go about with this firewire thing? This should be fun.

you would need to have a firwire output on the camcorder and a firewire input on your computer. not to mention a firewire cable .

The camcorder has to be able to support "pass through"  a dv camcorder that is a few hundred $300-400+

Then you just need a capture utility - there are lots of freewares out there that will allow you to capture from firewire cable.
