I'm learning how to drive and I've come to realize that traffic circles are full of fail. They're confusing for one... I have to enter a certain lane to get out at a certain point but then I immediately have to switch lanes so I can make a turn to get on the street leading to my house. In theory I should enter another certain lane, but that would result in getting rear-ended by some speed demon.

Also, I'm in severe need of a "Student Driver" sticker so people don't get all raged when I take a bit slower than usual to, say, enter a traffic circle. Dorky, but I'd rather be dorky than have to fight some enraged middle-manager who ponders about where exactly he screwed up to end up in such a boring, go-nowhere job while driving.

I know (ps: I sat confused for a second till I realized it was for British driving), what I hate is the slight chaos of the circles. People entering when there's a car coming, people going like it's the Indy 500, etc.

Traffic circles suck. It's funny, my transportation engineer professor was telling our class that Americans don't know how to use traffic circles, so avoid putting them in a design at all costs!

Pfft, you think you're bad in America?

We've got them every 200 yards.

But we're smart enough to figure them out.

EDIT: And they're called ROUNDABOUTS you tards. Not 'traffic circles'.

Roundabouts are awesome. But these Canadians have no idea how to use them, although they are in low quantity. They creep up slowly to them, look around, slowly roll out into them after a full stop and when they see no other cars for a kilometre or two, and then slowly drive around without signaling at all.

I actually say "roundabouts" IRL a lot. I felt like saying traffic circles this time >_>

And yeah, thank god we don't have these:

Just concentrate on everything to your left, forget about the rest.
Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.

When you live in D.C., your bound to get in an accident anyway. No amount of learning is going to save you in that shithole xD.

I think traffic circles are smart ... probably a bit more scary when you are bolting around DC along side crazy Haitian cab drivers.
