"Jump out!" "Jump out!" etc.
Anyway I did about 10 kills but he started telling me: "You are really too noob... change game... etc.".
Anyway... we died two times and taken the heli always with me as a gunner and him as a pilot... I reached 20 kills and then, after few misses, HE TEAMKILLED ME in the heli BRINGING me (and just me) out of the map!
Then at respawn he always teamkilled me while I went taking the heli.
Ok he was a great pilot and perhaps I am not the best gunner but THIS CAN'T BE AN ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIUOR of a good BF2 player.
I wanted just to share that with you. Just stay away from that damn guy.
I'm trying to say you're wrong, that isn't me being smart, that's me having something called an understanding. Firstly, 'a pair of faggots' can range whore quite easily Vs. a solo pilot, meaning they won't get a chance to hit by the time his gunner has killed you. Secondly - the very idea of chopper scrims is a two man crew, if it's not a two man crew then you might as well go play public servers - you're not going to be able to use cover effectively and you're going to crash a hell of a lot when you fire your TV.jord wrote:

So much for a 0.01th of a second advantage.

Attack heli is designed to be a 2 man job, the experience isn't fun for either the experienced pilot and noob gunner. One is being told to bail out constantly and gettin' abuse hurled at them the other is getting seriously frustrated with the noob gunner not hitting anything and deeming the chopper useless. If you both know what you're doing it can be fun as hell so just practice, preferably on single player or empty servers.

As has been said, unless the 2 man team is a combined failure, the soloing chopper guy is going down more often than not.
Reasons:
A: Unless you roll/slide/whatever the chopper perfectly every time, you're very easy to hit while soloing (plus if you do roll it prior to shooting, you will lose a lot of height which can be a big disadvantage at times). So in general, if you either fire second or miss, you're pretty much dead against an average shot in a lot of cases.
B: As someone so eloquently put it -- range whoring is better than any kind of dodging manoeuvre. You can't hit what's out of range. While you're sliding towards the target, the two man team can back off and leave the soloer floundering. Free shot! Repeat until soloer is dead.
C: Regardless of how good you are soloing, a good chopper team will clean up with a lot less hassle (clean up as in be more flexible and take out a wider variety of targets consistently). I don't care how awesome you are soloing with a chaingun -- I can do it very well, but it's still not as good as flying with a good pilot because you have to rotate the chopper in a certain way to do it properly, and sometimes that means a 'setting up' phase prior to firing, whereas you could immediately blast away otherwise.
D: Again, it's been covered but you can ... use cover a lot more easily while in a team.
A great solo pilot can beat a decent chopper team and is certainly better than flying around with someone who is not very good, it still doesn't compare to a good team in the majority of situations. I can't really think of any soloer ruining me when I've been flying with a good pilot/gunner, but I can think of plenty of times I've consistently had a tough time against a good chopper team
On pubs, I generally don't fly unless I'm with my friends these dats. I really hate flying with crap chopper folk, so I don't bother if I can't get a buddy to fly with.

Re-work red-lining in vehicles, maybe whole vehicle needs to be in the red-line for you to get damaged, and remove friendly-fire.

It's true, for the reasons you stated, that a two man crew has an advantage over a soloer. However, I would say from my experience that a soloer can still take out a two man crew almost as often as a two man crew can take out a soloer.
