In regards to not being special for being a POW.  He doesn't claim to be special for it.  He just has said it was a life changing event for him.

If I were an American I'd prefer a candidate who could make it through a war without getting shot down, captured, tortured or injured... you know, an actual war hero.

Not some guy who couldn't get the job done and subsequently decided to embark on a political career off of the back of his military failures.

And your a service man so you automatically know how shit went down in Vietnam. There were 600 other POW's. Would you vote for any of them? You know, because they were tortured?

And I am not taking anything away from any of the other POW's. I think anyone whom is captured and subjected to torture has displayed a great level of fortitude and loyalty. But thats just it though, all of them including McCain. My problem is with Braddock so brilliantly announcing that they are failures. Now in fairness to him he only said McCain was but that is only because he doesn't like him. By stating a man who is shot down or over powered in combat is a failure, or has come short of his objection is fucking rude.
