wtf, I died trying to protect some ally, but now I have my new ship I can't leave the planet I respawned on, tried mouse wheel and the - key but it just zooms out to the highest point on the planet but won't leave it; any suggestions?

I also can't select tools like my weapons or the abduct ray.

Anyone made it to the centre of the galaxy yet?
yeah, was actually a dissapointment to see it was just an easter egg instead of the end of the game but now i like how it is
so wait. in a game that states it has no ending you thought there would be an end?
lol yeah, i basically thought it would just stop at the centre of the galaxy or something

it's a bug peter, i usualy just let it sit paused for awhile as low to the planet as i can, and then after an hour or two try again.

also just a warning to everyone. DO NOT delete a creature from your sporepedia if you've put that on a wildlife preserve planet.... it will make you ctd whenever you try to go to that planet >.<

I had the exact same problem, just that instead of dying I willingly went to a planet and I could still use weapons.  I tried everything but eventually had to just manually close the game (because for whatever fucking reason you can't save the game when you're viewing a planet).  3 hours of gameplay gone.

if you pause it and leave it for awhile it goes away

How the hell do you find your way around via wormholes without trial and error? I've had quite a lot of fun up to this point, but if I'm limited to a relatively small region in space because I don't want to be wandering around dropping bread crumbs...that's pretty dumb.

You can select in the bottom left the marker to show where you've been, and that can show you where to wormhole leads after you go through it if your getting confused which one goes where.

I don't see how to use that function to see where a wormhole leads after you've gone through it?

You can show your past travel routes once you click it (next to the show allies\enemies button I think) an it shows you where the wormholes lead.

If it hasn't shown it zoom in more maybe.

flaming the only way you can tell is fly through it, then whenever you get your radar radius within range of the worm hole it should show a purple line to where it goes.

Tbh the game looked like shit until I tried the free creature creator. Seems like it could be fun now, and I may have to purchase it. God, Will Wright has caught me hook, line, and sinker yet again...

tbh i think its worth it, its a single player game and yet im still playing it more than a week after release. its also renewed my love in space rts games and now ive reinstalled imperium galactica 2 and homeworld 2 which i have been playing a lot.

I made a new game on easy and instead of being extremely hostile I took the nicest road possible and I am having alot more fun with it

I did the exact same thing (is this the second time I've done the same thing as you?) and I agree it's fun.  I wanted to play spore to take over a galaxy, not get constantly bombarded by pirates/biodisasters/naturally-pissed-off-empires and easy mode helps me do that.

There are definately some flaws with space age, they should of made it so you can make ships on planets that defend the local region that you don't control, similar to what the computer have or like a space base that stops enemies getting to the planet surface, sometimes parts of the game are too simple. Would allow you do not have to babysit your empire all the time.

I hated how I had to fight off hundreds of ships off by myself (allies don't count, useless) it just gets tedious

A fleet of ships rather than allies that are useless so you have to go back to a system ages away just to get him back would be good. Maybe a patch in the future. Fingers crossed (this is EA we're talking about though).

I was really psyched to get the mega turret, but it seems like you still have to at the very least go to the planet under attack.

really? i pack my cities full of turrets and stick them as close as possible to each other... between the covering fire and the super turret i don't even need to respond to pirate attacks anymore

would have been nice to be able to build defense ships that just STAY in orbit

but how can you tell it's not the Grox attacking?

They'll knock off a city or two if you ignore them.
