Lowing, military recruiters at a school is something I don't think I want to see. At college campuses maybe, because at that age I'm sure those asked for duty are able to weigh up the options so much better, than a high school student still under 18 years old.

And lets not forget, this is also about keeping GUNS out of schools.

Although law enforcement, security guards and others who require weapons for work are exempt from the measure, current handgun owners would have to surrender their firearms by April.

You think that guns on schools is, okay? Gimme a break.

And if the Govt. is funding schools on the condition that Military Recruiters can be on those grounds, than you've got something seriously wrong with your Govt.

Not every one goes to college after HS, the military is an option that could be explored by people looking for choices, so recruitment at the school is not only logical by reasonable.

And you didn't answer the question...What would the liberals of SF think of this story?

After high school you idiot. Not during. That's my point. Why can't they be recruited after the graduation ceremony? Is the military that desperate for troops it has to wander around schools looking for people to sign up?

I'm not a far left liberal, but I do side more with the left than right. I also live quite close to San Francisco, have family/friends from San Francisco, and I actually lived in SF for a short period of time.

With that said, I'll honestly give you my opinion about the story. The receptionist was in the wrong, there was no bounds to refuse the soldier service. It is an absolute wrong by the receptionist. As for the hotel policy in question, the story did not give details to why this policy was erected. So I can't comment on whether or not the hotel policy is wrong or right.

Now, I will give my honest opinion about your thread. For one, it's complete horse shit. As I mentioned before the story has nothing to do with liberals or conservatives. You may very well see the world as black/white, ie: making ignorant generalizaitons like:liberals HATE soldiers. That is absolutely NOT the fucking case. I have the utmost respect for men and women of service regardless of their political or religious views and I'm a liberal. "HOLY SHIT that can't be possible! Especially coming from one of them tree-hugging, rainbow stroking hippies from San Francisco!" It is possible and I'm positive many of my fellow residents of the San Francisco Bay Area will feel similar about my story, and your ignorant thread.

I doubt it...How exactly d oyou support our men and women in the miltary? What was your postition on recruiter banning?

Also, your first sentence disqualifies you. The first thing you did was admit that you are not extreme left...Are you telling MOST of SF is not extreme left?

They are not recruiting 14 year olds Spark, they talk to seniors who are graduating and looking for options.
