Not all protein shakes are made equal. Try something else.jord wrote:
Ya but the thing is it's a "beginner" one. So if this gives me liquid shit all the others will too.m3thod wrote:

My Protein shake gives me diarrhoea but I may as well stick with it, don't wanna waste it.
Only 2 weeks left on it anyway, then I'll see if my body gets used to it.

Does toasting bread reduce the carbs in it?
Rofl. No, of course not.jord wrote:

No. The sugar carmalises within the bread as you toast it and hence why toast tastes grrrrrrrreat.jord wrote:

And the toasting eliminates the water inside the bread, thus making it crispy.m3thod wrote:

Thanks, I was just making sure. Always heard of foods "losing their gooodness" after being cooked.

Only one I've heard of is milk losing a % of it's calcium if you let it sit out for ~1hrjord wrote:

That's vegetables, mainly. It also depends on how you cook them. Steaming them shouldn't allow much goodness to be lost, but you need to have fresh vegetables to assure "goodness" in the first place.jord wrote:

Never heard of it....holland and barrett joby? Anyway the protein in egg and milk is slow digesting (micellar casein) and its something you should be taking before going to bed. The point of whey protein is to be efficiently delivered to your muscles asap i.e. post workout.jord wrote:

At the very top you have whey isolates (90%+ protein content) and are absorbed rapidly but are expensive as shit and tbh are really for athletes. They you have normal whey (70-80% protein content) for well...normal people. Lastly you have milk protein concentrates/micellar casein protein to take before bed, essentially your feeding your muscles when you are resting and they are growing...or even better eat cottage cheese (yuck)
if your dirt poor then 10kg or unflavored whey is prob your best bet from myprotein it tastes a bit like uht milk but you can add milkshake powder (nesquick or got to aldi and buy some German brand in a massive tin for a 2 quid). You're not drinking for the taste at the end of the day so you can just chug it down. If you want flavoured then myprotein is prob your best bet again but i also managed to find met-rx for the same price and purchased some. Taste nice.
my protein unflavoured (Impact Whey Protein (Unflavoured))
http://www.myprotein.co.uk/bulk-supplie … d-protein/
Cheap Met-rx

If you're rich then PhD Nutrition Pharma Whey or CNP Pro Peptide is the way forward...expensive though.

Ta for the info.
Zimmer's right. People over boiling veg kills the good stuff. Steaming is defo the best way to keep the nutients locked in.Zimmer wrote:
