Your argument doesn't make sense even if it did apply to us. Why would having one console suddenly mean you can't understand a game and why it's good? If I had a PS3 I could see that Halo is pretty fun and understand why.SEREVENT wrote:

This.. Not really.
The fact that you think halo is a good game kinda makes me doubt your ability to see what is an actual good game and one that is just a massive fanboyfest. PS I have an xbox and halo is still an incredibly average shooter.jord wrote:

I mean if you don't like platformers fair enough, but any other reason kinda I find hard to understand. ie "it looks childish" tbh who gives a shit, if it plays well what does it matter what it looks like?
Good post, again Vilham. This guy knows about games.Vilham wrote:

i still dont get this little big planet hype. Make a level and share it....whats the difference between this and a fan made map for say doom? I watched a vid on boob tube, these insects were running and jumping across easy obstacles in a platform game. That's it?!
Anyway i'm from the if it dont have guns, bombs and explosions i dont want to know school, so i'll continue to watch from the sidelines....still bemused.

Blackbelts are just whitebelts who have never quit.
Never said Halo was good, said it was fun. Like a few people playing on multiplayer, it's a laugh is all. Was just an example.Vilham wrote:

I've played enough games to know what I think as good, and when I watch a video and can generally tell if something's going to be good(I watch videos before I buy all games and I've never wasted my money yet).
I don't get how the game posted has any re playability value at all. But Serge clearly doesn't doubt your knowledge on games, so maybe you can point out why the game featured will be played for more than 5 hours.
This game will be GOTY IMO.m3thod wrote:

Dude, I'm not the only one saying this game will be awesome. If you don't like puzzle/plafromer games, then this game isn't for you, but if you do, you'll find this game is one of the best games ever made. Wait, and see.jord wrote:

It has gained too much hype I agree, but that doesn't mean it doesn't look great. The difference between making and sharing say a FPS/RPG/RTS creation and one in LBP is that LBP is one of the first platformers that allow you to create your own levels, that gives this game the same re-playability as these multiplayer games, platformers are generally a simple case of, Ive completed the game, thats it. It gives this game massive added value.m3thod wrote:

If new levels are coming out that give you different and new challenges why wouldn't you play it.
Remember how easy any level in the game is is down to the person creating the level, they could make it ludicrously hard if they wanted. Obviously though they arent going to make all the levels included that hard because that would put people off the game.
Its also one of the first console games that even features the ability to create content. Tbh its about damn time.

I dont see how creating fan based levels for a platform game will gain it GOTY? Novel yes, groundbreaking gameplay? Not in my book.Vilham wrote:

I don't get what you guys don't get about this game. It's pretty simple concept, and yet very creative and innovative.jord wrote:

Well, if you take a look at the games being released year afer year, you'll notice that LBP is a pretty new concept never done before. That can get you a GOTY.m3thod wrote:

for starters it's not just on one console
B) can create everything (last stage is said to have no ending)
C) more people play it even now (3,1 million creatures created)
D) even more attention then LBP
E) you don't play with idiots
F) you don't play with Serg j/k
anyway, might be fun this LBP, but I think it gets boring, wouldn't get boring if you guys make a group to play together, but if you play this with the retards of the net then I think my controller would be inside my t.v. by now (went through the screen).
Spore is a good choice. But I still think LBP will get GOTY.^*AlphA*^ wrote:

And anyway 99% of fan based maps/levels suck cock.

The thing is in this case you are the one making the levels. You don't need a map tool or something, the game itself is the level creating tool.m3thod wrote:

Remember the quality of a platformer is heavily based on its levels, with the ability to create levels means that however low the chance of the best level ever being made, eventually it will.m3thod wrote:

Yeah, custom maps has never been done before.
I really doubt this gets GOTY.
