BW is now the LW btw. Only difference is the advertised size (22" vs. 21.6"). GET.

And who or what is Eizo?

Eizo are pretty good, but not as famous as Samsung. Google after some reviews and get filled in, then decide. Also, after all the bullshit with different panel qualities for the Samsung 226BW, I kind of lost my will to buy a Samsung monitor.

Samsung. If you want to consider the Eizo, go look up some reviews on Google, if you can find any.

I'd say Samsung that extra 21 Euros goes a long way.

Eizo are über, but I only have experience with their older line (ie when 15" 1024x768 was today's 24")

So go ahead and ignore the actual monitor then.

I've read about the EIZO on a Finnish forum and they had only good things to say about it. Can't find any actual reviews but it won a test/comparison in MicroPC magazine, I just can't find the article anywhere so I could read it. Here's the list of monitors they tested and the EIZO got the best score.

Dell Ultrasharp 2208WFP
Eizo Flexscan S2201WSE
NEC Multisync LCD225WXM
Samsung Syncmaster 2243WM
Viewsonic VX2255wmb
Dell Ultrasharp 3008WFP
Eizo Flexscan SX3031W-H
NEC Multisync LCD3090WQXi
Samsung Syncmaster 305T

Actually I could get the Samsung for 275€ from other site, but I've heard some bad experiences from their delivery and warranty. And the site I was going to order has pixel warranty, so if there's even 1 dead pixel when I get it or if one dies during the warranty period (*) I can get it replaced.

* Samsung warranty 3years; EIZO warranty 5 years

Yeah that pivot would be nice to have, but it isn't that important to me

Uh, Samsung cover the warranty, not the shop.

And the Samsung does indeed have 3 years zero-dead-pixel. Shows you how much faith they have in their panel if they one-for-one swap the bastard after three years.

Well they cover dead pixel for the entire warranty, and the warranty is 3 years.

Outside the 14 days of purchase if you have 1 or more dead pixels anywhere on the screen we will replace it for you under warranty.
(within 14 days, the shop has to swap it).

I looked into it when I bought the bastard myself.
