No, I'm just generally not that rich. My DAD is, but I don't live with him. Besides a few things here and there and stuff that I can't pay for myself (aka the mortgage and house commodities) that my mom/dad buy, I pay for everything myself. I'm not exactly "rich".

You give kids things they take advantage of it, make them earn it. Plus, what kid needs a luxury car?

Because if you spend money on a kid, they will keep expecting you to buy them nicer and nicer things. Especially if you include a luxury vehicle for a 16 year old kid. i fucking hate that show. i understand where you are coming from, but i think that if the kid is appreciative and understands the work the parents put in to get that money and the kid does help out and works hard in school and has a job etc. its a little different. One of my mates form the football team who jus graduated was offered a job startin salary £40,000 and a £10k signing on bonus. Was asked for a 2:1, so in a couple of years I should be doing quite well
Also I could have a few grand more (one if my grans is old n cant go out much n wants to give me n my bro some money cos she cant really spend it n she said it would make her happy, but my dad said no "they need to learn the value of money") , he gives us fuck all anyway, I get no financial help at uni, after my rent is paid I'll have £110 left from my loan for the WHOLE YEAR at uni! I could do with that money, tho I've managed to save up like 2k this summer

I think many parents feel like they want to give their children things that they never had. It is nice that some kids appreciate it...but the above things you mention are things that should be expected of your child no matter what you are able to give them.Canadianloser wrote:
